Hi,
I've got one of those AV senders, for connecting main tv to kitchen tv, and depending what channel it's on, can knock out my signal.
You say you havn't changed, added anything, so could be a neighbour, have you tried changing channel on router as already suggested?0 -
Download http://www.metageek.net/products/inssider/ and see if anyone else is on the same channel as you, if so, change it, remove all the wireless connections and "find" the router again.Estate Agent, Web Designer & All Round Geek!0

Thought I'd try this- but it brings up a message saying WLAN auto config appers to be stopped- please restart WLAN autoconfig before running application
I haven't yet changed the channel- the manual doesn't say what to change it to it has a list 0-10 and it's on 6 at the moment-does it matter what I change it too?!
Hasnt made any difference being unplugged all night- no fairy has come and fixed it sadly!0 -
Hi,
you can try any channel, look.
Did you try inssider, it will show you what channels are being used by your neighbours, so try the least used for starters.0 -
No I couldn't use it- as posted above when I tried to use inssider it brought up an error saying WLAN autoconfig appears to be stopped. Please start WLAN autoconfig before running application0

Hi,
what are you using just now, are you where you normally use your laptop?
Inssider doesn't have to be on the problem laptop.0 -
No I'm on a wired PC- that is the message it is bringing up. It is the PC the router goes through.0
-
Hi,
ok, sorry.
I did a search for WLAN auto config appears to be stopped,
and came up with these, but you may have already tried that.0 -
I had tried a search and a couple of fixes that hadn't worked. Worked through a couple more and one seems to have worked now.
Just went into Inssider and it isn't finding any wifi networks.
Have changed channel and extension channel-
My laptop is presently connected. Phone still wont connect. Havent yet moved away from router to see if it stays conencted but that's slightly more promising.0 -
As I feared- by the time I had gone back downstairs- the laptop disconnected. Now wont reconnect again although network is showing even after I refresh.
The message I get on the diagnosis- is either low signal or not receiving message from router.0
