hi, as you've won with A&L, can you advise re what address you submitted on moneyclaim form - it keeps saying the bootle, GIR 0AA is outside England/Wales

    Thanks

    Hi There,

Yes the A&L are !!!!!!- like this and don't give you much in the way of help.

    Issue your papers to :-

    Client Complaints / Claims Department
    Alliance & Leicester PLC
    Carlton Park
    Narborough
    Leicester
    Leicestershire
    LE19 0AL

This is the company's registered office it's then down to them to forward it internally , will probably get lost and you'll win by default :)

    Hope this helps,

    Good Luck.

    Sixx

  • I'm claiming charges back from the alliance and leicester and their solicitor has sent me "a copy of their client's defence by way of service upon you."

Does this count as service? Do I need to send it to the Court? And most importantly, do I need to worry?????

Thanks for any help and yay woo to martin if I get my money back :j

Check the covering letter to the Defence ... mine says that they have also sent it to the court. If not, don't worry, it's their responsibility, not yoursicon7.gif
    Wins since 2009 = £17,600

    From a fellow new poster!!!
just submitted my claim to A&L at Bootle. The way to do it is put the GIR 0AA post code in one of the lines reserved for the address and leave the Post Code field blank. DO NOT CLICK LOOK UP. Click on Continue (or next) at the bottom left of the page. You will be promted to press LOOK UP. At this point PRESS LOOK UP. It won't find an address. But it will give you an option to use the address you have typed in. Click a little orange box next to this and it takes you back to the address page with all your info inputted. Click continue (as you did earlier) and you should be away!!

Hope it helps!! Used to work for them so taking them to court feels GOOOOOD!!

Hi all, I am now a fully paid up (to the tune of £250) member of the court case pending club! I have just submitted my MCOL for a shade under £5k plus interest of £1300, as I never had an agreed overdraft I have claimed for all the £25 'Monthly overdraft' charges so we'll see if they take specific issue. How exciting :D .
Here's my history for peope who like to compare notes...

15-03-07 Request sent for six years statements with £10 cheque.
    17-03-07 Cheque cashed.
15-04-07 Over six years of statements arrived
17-04-07 Sent first template letter requesting return of charges plus interest
21-04-07 Standard reply letter from A&L saying 'no'
23-04-07 Second template letter giving 14 days before court action
25-04-07 A&L sign for second letter
09-05-07 As no contact from A&L, I called them and asked if they wished to pay the full ammount before I file with the courts, not interested, so I filed.

I sent all my letters to Bootle but put the Leicester address on the MCOL form. I can imagine that some people will be worried by this banks tough posturing but we shouldn't let it scare us off.
Fingers crossed for no defence and a quick payout but I guess that's unlikely.
I'll keep you all posted and look forward to hearing how everyone else fairs.
