    Hi all,
Finally got my court date fr the 18th July in Hastings (Sussex)

The letter doesnt really say much, just says it will be about 10 mins.

Can someone please detail eactly what I need to do now. (I dont have nothing ready)

I'm assuming I need 3 copies of everything

Letters / Statments (and what else?)

Do we need to send these copies off to the court and Wragge before the court date or do I take all 3 copies to court?

I downloaded the court bundle but not sure what im meant to be doing with it! Do I have to change certain things in the document to make it relevant to me?

It would be good if someone can explain in simple terms and with links etc exactly what we need to get at this stage.

I read through so many threads and am now confused.

    THANKS

    TONY

What is on 12th July, your court date? Have you had the judge's directions yet? Is so, what do they say? You may not have to prepare the court bundle, but it depends on what you're asked for.

The caling Date is the 5th July and the Court Date is the 12th July Had papers returned from Court and had to go to a Sheriff Officer to send paper work to A&L it is for 1291.91 and they sent me a cheque for £347 the day i sent back the cheque in came a letter from Wragge &Co saying they will defend Don't know what to do next Do i have to send paper work back to Court ?

You may not need the court bundle, some people are not being asked for it now. The judge will not call it a "court bundle", but will ask for something like legal documents and settled cases, which will back up a Statement of Evidence or other document he might ask you for.

You must only supply what he asks for (if anything). It would help if you post on here exactly what he has asked you for.

That's great, really chuffed for you! Do I take it you were claiming for hundreds rather than thousands? A&L do tend to pay out earlier for these claims.

I presume you're in Scotland? Not familiar with the rules there or what a calling date is I'm afraid. I'd give the court a ring and ask for advice as to what to do next.

Why do you want to take to court something you've not been asked for? How long's the hearing for and what do the directions say?

As above, many people now are not being asked for a "bundle". Court bundles normally consist of 200+ pages ... that's a hell of a lot of work/man hours/printing/copying!

    Hi All,

Just received my statements from A&L, totaled them up and added intrest (using the calc on this site ) and it was nearly £900

I had no idea it was this much !!!

So my question now is do I need to send my letter to A&L recorded delivery ? (do they tend to loose it ? ) or can I just send it first class ?

They have been quiet good up to now !

this is the last step before MCOL ... I'm kinda looking forward to it !

Do we know how much they are allowed to charge ? cos my claim is for the full charge amount ? so will i get all the cgarges back or just what is over and above the recommended amount ?

sorry for all the garbled questions ?? But I could realy do with £900 :j

Provided you're trying to re-claim the correct charges, you should get the full amount back.

Personally, I'd send everything by Recorded Delivery just to cover yourself.
