The only advice that is fair to give is that only you can decide what you want to settle for.
What you are prepared to do to get your money is also up to you.
You have 3 options.- Settle
- Go to court
- Go to the Financial Ombudsman
Hamsters have no tact and diplomacy, nor do they want any.0 -

Alot here all going to go ahead and fight for their money, you won't be alone, there are many people on here who have decided to do the same. It's reassuring that you are not alone when you read through this site as it can all seem quite daunting. I'm going to persue all the way for what is rightfully mine x0

Hey Magpie, i've not received anything from my local court at all, all i've received is notifivation from Northampton that it had been transferred. I presume we wait for one but i understand from reading through the forum that not all courts are issuing them. I think i might ring the court as i also have read that A & L have told some courts that they have settled and that is sooooooooooo not the case with me, but they are welcome to anytime, for the full amount of course lol!
Just had a court date for August and the judge has issued directions that I supply a court bundle, including Statement of Evidence within 21 days and the bank has to also submit evidence within this timescale. No AQ required in my case and A&L have not been in touch with the court (I checked!).
Hope my old printer can cope with all the papers to print off, trying not to panic:eek:Wins since 2009 = £17,600MANY THANKS TO ALL OPS0 -
darwin,
I'm surprised that you had to go to this extreme. I exceeded the o/d limit once, went straight into the branch as soon as I realised and deposited enough to bring it back within limits. Then I phoned from the branch (free phone call too), explained the oversight on my behalf, they accepted it and refunded the charges there and then.
Easier peasier.
Although in over 3 years this is the one and only time I have ever exceeded it, so maybe that is a mitigating factor. Don't know if your circumstances are different.Cheers,

Can I ask how long you had to wait?! I noticed on nicourtsonline that my small claims pack to them only went 21-05-07, just wondering how long it usually takes
Thanks & Well done
