Don't make Kurt angry. You wouldn't like Kurt when he's angry. (He turns bright green and his molecules swell up!)
PS. Did you notice how I got away with being sarcastic? The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0 -

Weren't you looking at the screen whilst typing the post?.all im asking for is a bit of help and guidance theres no need to be so abrupt kurt.im new to all this and its the first time in my life that ive done anything like this so give me a break please,
Do you think we are all serial litigants? This is the first time for the rest of us too. All that's required is a modicum of common-sense, ie. if you don't know how to do something (and there's no shame in that) don't do it until you do.it all looks so easy on the site and forums till it goes this far,now iam panicking ,but i wont give up,thanks for your comments and help anyway
It's only easy if you know what you are doing. To know what you are doing you have to do your research. That isn't coming on any of the advice forums and just asking one or two questions, it means doing hours of reading.
As for giving you a break, well this is a public forum, there isn't just you reading this thread. Other people about to do what you just did, ie go forward with guns blazing and finding out you don't know what you are doing could be reading it. My advice could prevent them from making the same faux pas that you did.
Now if you re-read what I wrote as advice rather than criticism we can move on.Hamsters have no tact and diplomacy, nor do they want any.0 -

Hey Magpie, i've not received anything from my local court at all, all i've received is notifivation from Northampton that it had been transferred. I presume we wait for one but i understand from reading through the forum that not all courts are issuing them. I think i might ring the court as i also have read that A & L have told some courts that they have settled and that is sooooooooooo not the case with me, but they are welcome to anytime, for the full amount of course lol!0

they tried to settle with me to a sum of £207.00 while im claiming back £1930.16
naturally i rejected the offer, and now it looks like im off to court,i must say its all a bit daunting and im a tad worried but im not giving up0 -
hi everyone
i`m in the process of claiming back £1051.34 from a&l.
today i have received their standard"unable to refund on this occasion" reply to my second letter so i rang them and spoke to a customer service manager and offered to settle for just the charges and no interest,
they didn't want to know,i mentioned that i didn't really want to go through the small claims court and negotiation would save us both a lot of time and money!but to no avail!
she did say that i could write to appeal there decision.
so i`d like to know if anyone has done this and if they have received an offer or should i just proceed with the mcol?(after carefully reading all the ins/outs of making a claim!)
oh i just checked my account and they have suspended my agreed overdraft facility!0 -
That's weird, everyone on her have said about A & L closing there bank within 30days of them paying out, in the letter I have just picked up from home with the offer on it they say that they will not be closing my account but it will run on the original t & c's (£35 for unpaid charges), well as the account has been closed for over a year now it must just be a bog standard letter, but at least they are not closing accounts anymore.Experian credit score as of Feb 2016 - 116

I'm with you Magpie, i got offered c.£200 when i'm claiming c.£3000. i'm not giving up on what is rightfully mine, they thought of court is daunting but think of how many others have received their money back, i hope that we too will be one of them (sooner rather than later)........let's hope it's a case of good things come to those you wait lol!0
