All you need to do is read this A&L thread ... we've all been through exactly the same. All A&L's letters and defence (if you get one) are exactly the same for all of us, so don't panic.

Just follow the step by step instructions and start court proceedings if you need to (which you probably will with A&L). There's lots of help on here and most of us are way ahead of you.icon7.gif

Weren't some peoples cases supposed to start this week?

2 in Northern Ireland Eyeball, who had their's postponed 'til results of a case in the UK were known.

Another couple on the CAG site have had theirs postponed for about a month as the judge has ordered more time be given for negotiation (I think at the request of A&L:rolleyes:). In addition, a few more people have contacted the court who are awaiting a date and A&L have told the courts they've paid the claimants (a blatant lie!) ... just trying to stall proceedings yet again. Also, some have won by default when A&L haven't submitted an AQ in time. Doesn't it make you wonder why on earth it's not in the judges' power to put a stop to all this and make the bank just pay up??

They're trying every trick in the book to delay court proceedings, hence no-one seems to be near yet. Knowing my luck, I'll be the first ...icon12.gif

  • I have applied to A & L for a refund. The other day I received a letter which said they think their charges are fair and legal and then proceeded to give me patronising advice about how not to occur charges - like not going over drawn! But absolutely no sign of a refund. What do I do now? They have robbed me of £900+ - no wonder I can't get back into credit!!

Follow Martin's step-by-step guide like the rest of us ... you have received a standard letter from A&L which we've all received. Everything from them is "standard"
