Looks like A&L are getting serious they are defending the case. I have just filled in the allocation form, another £100 court fees, it seems the argument is weather the charges are a Service or a Penalty and I need to prove it’s a penalty. Dose any one know where I can find out?.... It appears that the only people making loads of money at the moment are Wragg and Co …………0

A&L are defending in every case (unless they "forget"), so this is nothing new and loads of us have received their defence. Have a read of this link, which should explain about penalties. Lots of useful info. on this site re. the legal procedure, definitely worth signing up and joining the A&L forum to read about others' experiences :-

I am just in the middle of doing my claim on MCOL and I am stuck!!! I've got to the part which is asking if I am claiming interest (which I am) and it is asking me to put in the daily rate of interest, what is this??? Also I'm not sure what I should put here {date when the money became owed to you}.{put the amount} is this the amount of charges alone or is it including interest??0

Am I doing this at the right time???? I sent my 2nd letter 2 weeks ago threatening court action if i didn't hear within 14 days and those 14 days are up today. I had a reply saying they are looking into it and would be in touch within 28 days. should i wait until 28 days are up before submitting my claim or stick to my 14 days???0 -

Ignore the bank's timescales ... they're just stalling for more time, and go with the ones on here. You should give them 14 days from the second letter (after you've received your statements and start asking for your money back) and 14 for the third threatening court action, then start court proceedings.Wins since 2009 = £17,600MANY THANKS TO ALL OPS0 -
Just to let you know I received a cheque from A & L this morning for the charges I was claiming from them . I had originally sent a few letters to my local branch , asking them to refund some fees for going over my overdraft limit . They refused . I put in a claim with the small claims court (all done online , easy-peasy) .0

A&L are obviously now looking at ways to recover the money they're losing through these claims. I got a letter today saying they are increasing their annual overdraft facility fee from £50 to £100. Quite a steep hike,eh?
I wonder what's next in the pipeline.0 -
