Thanks for popping in chevalier, gothrockchic1 & abba1772!!! im glad im not rambling to myself here lol!!
Well today has just had the feel of a Monday all day (although its Tuesday!!!) was so tired last night that i slept in this morning rushed around and didnt take any lunch to work with me so ended up buying a sandwhich and 2 bottles of pop from tesco for £2.80  work was rather unproductive but i made it out alive and me and DD are home. Had to put £10 diesel in the car so spent £12.80 today! i always wondered where my money goes going to try and keep a bit more check on my spends and what i buy to see where my pennies are going!!!
Tasks this week include:
*finish setting up 2nd account and organising which money goes where so everything gets paid.
*look at my SOA again and try to get a true 100% idea of what is going on.
*take lunch to work
*dig about in cupboards and try and find the rest of this weeks meals so we dont end up getting take away or going out!!!Living the simple life0 -
You say that your employer doesn't currently do childcare vouchers - is there a reason why? You can ask them to consider starting up a programme as an employee benefit, which is a positive thing for them to be seen to do as well as a nice thing for you. My firm started it recently, with only one person utilising it, and I do the admin - three clicks and a payment each month - easy.
Might be worth asking again - I use a firm called Allsave. It was set up in two days and they have been fabulous to deal with. Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

Hi Tink
I'm afraid that I can't offer any advice on the loan situation apart from maybe take on board what people have advised you to do from the main DFW board
You seem to be getting it sorted and it does take time to get your head round it all. Just a thought can you maybe delegate a job or two to your OH. Even if he just looks after DD for you whilst you sort something out it all helps.
Baby steps all add up, its frightening at the start but trust me it will get easier. The support from these boards is immense as well, theres always someone to pick you up when you are having a down day.
Good luck xxx0 -
Thanks choogirl i had think im just very overwhelmed!!! my OH isnt as supportive as id like and although we both have the same goals his wait and see attatude is something i cant cope with and it scares me - he will talk about things once but then hates it being brought up again and again which i suppose is his way and he doesnt want to talk the smae thing over when we cant do anymore than we are! That makes him sound really bad lol but he is actually taken to this well he has been taking a pack up to work and not buying random things from the shops and his is the main wage which pays most of the bills so im just gonna focus on what i can do at the min and the two CC's im working on are mine where as the rest is joint debt so were not in a position now to pay huge sums off but if i can clear my cards it would help!! also even if i dont have loads of money to pay things off i really want to learn to make do in life so i don't end up here again!!!Living the simple life0

Hi Tink
Your OH sounds like mine, he's really supportive but knows that I'll get things sorted out so leaves it all to me. It drives me mad sometimes as he's so laid back about it all, he admitted to me he doesn't want nitty gritty details he just wants to see the balances reducing. Men!!! I feel like giving him a detailed breakdown every month!!
Focusing on the small things definitely helps as well, it will just drive you mad trying to sort the whole picture out in one go. A morale boost with the small things can go a long way.
I still have a long way to go with my organising and filing but my way of dealing with it is to make a list, my OH jokes about my love of lists.
Keep posting xxx0 -
Choogirl im the same - lists - diary's -charts - files you name it!!! and DH just laughs at me and sas it gets me no further forward!!! he doesnt understand all the planning that goes into everything lol he assumes people get birthday pesents and we do xmas by magic lolLiving the simple life0
