morning all, only just though;) these added tablets i have to now take at night zonk me out , and leave me fuzzy headed in the mornings. Some sun peeking through the bedroom curtains but I can feel its chilly through the top window being open. Hugs for everyone:grouphug: Woke up to find my ex stepdad (we have a complicated family);) taking the wall down in the front room:eek::eek: Dont worry I knew he was coming, he turned up as the boys were leaving for school and they let him in.He must have been working so quietly as I never heard a thing.:o. So I will be on cuppa duty today for him;):coffee: Tea tonight will be a sneaky takeaway as a thank you to him as if he wasnt a builder I would have had to spend a fortune getting it done.ooooo will be able to start looking at wallpaper and paints and flooring over the weekend .It isnt hard to make me happy is it;) Have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

İ was made to feel i wasnt welcome at school so i am staying home!--my wife knew i was spoiling for some tough talking and she told me there was little for lunch at school!-i took the hint.

i can hear the Sd's tv on now so she is awake -i think i will take her to nanny's for lunch and see if i can blag me an invite!!--its either that or i scatch around for the same lunch as yesterday and my SD not eat because she wont eat anything i offer her!--she eats everything at nanny's but my wife and i dont have the knack!--she will eat nugats and junk here but i dont like her having it when i know she will eat healthy food--she can go to grans!(with me!!)

i am enjoying my break from school--there is talk of making it a 7 day week from the start of next term so this is the last holiday til mid june--its a 4 month recess in summer for the kids due to the heat so i get my reward!--there will still be a few classes for adults and uni students but no where near the volume of what its like now--no weekend work!-we stay in the city during the week and go to the holiday home at weekends -MİL and FİL go to the house for the summer and make our stays very relaxing--my MIL never stops cooking and cleaning so we keep her busy!!-she reckons if she stops she will keel over!

Morning (just)

Quick one from me. Another day off for me so have been out in the garden doing loads of cutting back and cleaned the bathroom. Just need to put the vac round after getting DD from pre school in a mo.
Tea is a steak pie that FIL dropped off yesterday (YS of course ) so will do that with chips. No idea what H will eat as he doesn't eat stuff like pies :cool:

Hi Chums just popped in to see how you are all faring .Friday again where does the weeks fly to I wonder.Picking up the three youngest boys from school this afternoon as I am grandson sitting tonight DD and her OH have gone up to London for a meal and theatre and overnight stay.It is her belated birthday present from her OH.So Granny is in charge tonight.I'm a pushover for the kids though, and they are very good and not a bit of a problem.The youngest will creep into my bed around 4.00 a.m. as he always wakes and say's 'Granny are you awake?' I go 'MMmmm' and he scampers in and dives in for a cuddle.My DD has a kingsize bed so its not a problem .Then the other two arrive around 7.00. a.m for their cuddle as well. By 8.00a.m. we are giggling away so much we have to get up for breakfast.
You just can't bottle that sort of affection.My DD says I am worse than the kids :)
I have some left over leek and tattie soup for lunch and the remains of last nights chicken pasta to have as well. Then I must get all my bits and bobs ready .I take my knitting with me and will do it whilst watching t.v.
I shall be back tomorrow night so I must make sure all's locked up before I go.

hm soup and fresh bread for lunch followed by somekind of bean stew with a kind of rice for lunch--i really dont have a clue what my wife is giving me---if i disappear you know she has 'done' me in!---i keep watching real life murder stories at night and i get some weird thoughts!-two summers ago she forgot to tell me not to drink the water from the tap because their was an arsenic scare in the city due to natural contamination--i was happily going along drinking tea and coffee during the day for about 3 months until i cottoned on!--i dont touch the stuff now and we get delivered stuff in large 20 litre containers--apparently it is ok to drink now!

does anyone have a recipe for a cake or pudding where I can use 200ml of single cream (yesterdays date so needs using) with lemons if poss cos they need using too. I have lots of storecupboard ingredients. I was thinking a lemon tart of some kind.

my wife has been giving me warm chocolate cake with it immersed in cream to use up what is in the fridge--the choccy cake is a home bake packet!--its amazing i am not gaining any of my weight loss back!

Good afternoon,

This morning I minded my friends little boy for a while, but he was full of cold and not really himself, so he went home early. The house elf was up at 3:45am. I keep telling myself that it won't be so bad once the clocks change. He is doing well at school, and they are aware of his dodgy sleeping habits, so know if he is a bit tired he hasn't been up until midnight watching x rated films.

I have had a lot of pain from arthritis this week (one of the main reasons that I'm trying to lose weight, the house elf is the other), but gave myself a strict talking to before, downed a painkiller and went and made choc chip cookies for the house elf and a slimming world type quiche for me. It has a potato base, and cottage cheese mixed with egg, onion, bacon and tomatoes as a topping.

I am knitting the house elf a scarf because he asked for one. He is amazed that I can make it myself instead of having to go and buy one. The slight drawback is that if the cat notices what I am doing, she wants to help me by biting the wool.

i just saw my SD walk downstairs and her head nearly clipped the overstair'--i am sure all this sleeping causes her growing spurts--she is 13 and about 5 6 i am guessing because she is taller than mum and just shorter than me at 5 9--i keep cluncking my head on the overhang!--heavens knows what the building regs are in this country!!--we must have a family measure i think!
