  • Phew - the end of another working week!!

Bit dull here with bright spells but better than rain I guess.

Have managed to wash/dry/iron - though there only two things in the whole load that got ironed so that wasn't really very taxing.

Jacket pototo and salad things for dinner. Got recipes ready for b'nut squash and chickpea soup (new recipe) and shortbread in the morning but need to pick up some butter from the Co-op on the way back from choir tonight.....it's not the same with marg.

Just cleaned the bathroom tiles with white vinegar - very shining and I love the smell. Going to clean the rest and chuck a duster around upstairs then hopefully there won't be too much to do over the weekend. Would really like to start tidying up the garden but we'll see what the weather does.

    Happy Fridays all

  • Afternoon all

Just got home and found I couldn't open my flat door fully. Turns out the storage heater in the corridor had fallen off the wall  It knocked over a photo frame so there was glass everywhere and I cut my finger whilst cleaning it up :(. I rung letting agents and they just said to tidy mess up and they will call tomorrow to inspect it. I'm a bit worried bout leaving it on the floor (it was hot when I got in ) but it's unbeliveably heavy so can't lift it upright. I've poste don the in your home thread to see if anyone has any advice. Totally not the start to weekend I needed!

Anywho, I had a good day in work. Took my work kids to a low ropes (assault type) course where they had to work as a team to get round it. They all did fab and it's a good sign for our week away next week

I'm going to a friend's for dinner tonight. TBH I'm not in the mood to go but I can't get out of it, and will probably have fun there! But I'm gonna have to rush now to get ready to go cos of what's happened.

    No OS here today :o

    Have a good evening all

    Afternoon everyone

Not managed to post last couple of days, but have tried to keep up.

Rain here today, dried up a little this afternoon. Went to watch ds2 in a cross county race, he did ok not last but considering this time last year he had just had the pins taken out of his broken leg, it was good to see him run. Took dog out this morning with dh into Epping forest, he is so good off his lead and has now discovered he loves water.

Os today wm & dw on. Tea is hm spicy lentil soup with rolls. Will give lounge a sweep & dust b4 dh gets home. Kitchen is clean so am ok there.

MrsMH ((hugs)) that was a brave thing to post, no experience myself except I tend to skip meals when stressed. If you want to chat just pm me, not sure how far away I am from where you live.

Redruby - glad you're feeling a bit better, sounds like your dad is happier being back home.
Candygirl - I understand your anger, think I would have flipped. Well done on remaining calm, glad you had a nice day with Boo.
BB - oh dear at the haircut, my ex once shaved off all my ds1 hair. I had to explain to school so they would let him in.

Handed in an application for a job today at a local high school, hope I get on the shortlist as is term time only and 10 mins drive away.

Sorry if I have missed anyone. I'm sure I have. Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take care and enjoy the rest of your evening.

Had a busy afternoon, had to drive the OH over to Greenock to pick up his van, and got caught on the M8 on the way home  but he bought us a McD's so I am just making chilli pasta for dinner tonight.

    Flutterby, did you "click"?

Hugs for anyone who wants them. BTW Lynne are you OK, you do know its before 6pm don't you? :rotfl: xxx
