Think you are right about the age level of the book matching your DD.

Jackie - me busy, no I hate housework & do the bare minimum possible, but never seem to have much spare time even though I'm not working. I seemed to achieve more when I was working. I do enjoy being out in the garden though and would swap gardening for housework anyday.
Flutterby - hope you get your heater sorted, enjoy your evening.

Tea is cheesy nabs and lager :p

I like your style lady :T:D
  • Oh, oh, oh, that reminds me, I was reading a book last week and it referred to cheesey nabs. It was The Help by Kathryn Stockett, and about Black Housemaids in the USA in the early sixties, and one of them talked about nabs for dinner, I immediately thought of you two!

BB my DS shaved his head a couple of wks ago. he has very thick hair and it was driving him mad. My DD said he looked like he had just come out of an institution:rotfl: (she is very straight )doesn't seem to put the girls off though;)

I have run out of Stuart McBride so am reading the latest Peter Robinson. I love DI Thorne although didn't think the tv series did him justice at all.

    Evening all,
Big, big hugs to Mrs. M H takes a lot of courage to face things. But sometimes there comes a time where you are strong enough to confront a habit. I did that with smoking 2 years ago. I know that is not the same, but I believe you can reach inside yourself and find the determination and stubborness to be the winner. Sending you bucketloads of virtual determination and virtual stubborness, hugs, hugs, hugs, x
Lots of hugs to all who need them. I am not totally up to speed with the thread but am aware of CG bless you and many hugs x.
My moussaka worked really well. I knew that I would not feel like making it from scratch tonight and the plan paid off. The ragu heated through fine, the cold potatoes were easy to slice and so just slicing and cooking aubergines and layering up was just enough on a Friday evening. DW put on twice by DH bless him. DGKs had ragu with pasta and cleared their plates:)
Hope you all have a good evening, Silver x
PS J67 the glass of wine sounds like a very good idea:)
