sold a buggy at the weekend and the seller emailed me yesterday saying it hadnt been delivered-was only collected tue on 48 hr courier. anyways they got it today, and have said it's filthy, the wheels are pitted and marked, the whole thing smells that bad they've put it outside and the left side of the frame is dodgy apparently.
This is a buggy that up until 3 weeks ago i was using daily on the school runs with my 2.5yr old son, so i know it's safe. the wheels are marked and worn as it is a used buggy which to me stands to reason! since i stopped using it it has been stored in my utility room next to my washing machine and tumble dryer-it's warm and dry in there.
before packing up (had put pick up only on the listing but agreed to courier for her after she asked me to deliver to her myself!!!) i washed the wheels down as the lst time i used it was in the rain and they were a bit muddy. the seat unit had been hoovered & was clean, i always used my buggy snuggle on it otherwise, the buggys own footmuff was freshly washed etc. any faults were listed in the listing, i was completely honest.
She has since said that she's not happy to return it as it will cost her more, but surely the return cost would be better than 'losing' the money it cost her in the first place. im stumped as to what to do. I have sold a few buggys (buggy addiction) and never had a problem with any of them selling wise. what should i do, i dont want to argue over emails with her, but i know that the buggy i sent wasnt in the state she's claiming. she hasnt opened a dispute or anything, but i know that if she does she'll have to return at her cost before getting a refund. im prepared for the inevitable neg etc.
does anyone have any advice??? is there anything i chould maybe do???

buyer has just messaged me again asking what i can do for her as she paid £38 for 'rubbish'
im thinking as she wont return it she's just after money off which im not happy to do as i know the buggy was clean and in good working order other than the fault that was in the listing!0 -
Just politely tell her to return it for a refund. If she leaves a neg, then just respond to it politely!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
have just replied asking her to please return it for a refund then. will see what she says. thanks xx0

she wont return it, says she wasted 2 days waiting for it, despite me sending her the tracking number so she could see when it was out for delivery. she says its only dirt holding it together and that she wont pay out twice for courier costs and doesnt have time to wait in for couriers either. have replied saying that im following ebay and paypal rules by offering for her to return it for a refund and that she will get her origional costs back but she's being very stroppy with me.0

Hold your ground! She wants a partial refund - don't do this, if she opens a dispute she will have to return tracked anyway. I don't think you can offer a partial even in a dispute.
Buyers like this drive me crackers, its so blatant.
'what can you do for her'! tsk!
Don't be bullied!0 -
im not dont worry. she has come out and asked for the partial refund now. soooo wanna reply to her saying
why would you want a partial refund on something that is 'unsafe, dirty, worn and that you wouldnt put a pet in never mind a child' (her words) when you can return for a refund of the money you say you spent on 'rubbish'. i know if i bought something in the condition you state i would have it packed up and courier booked for return and refund asap!
not gonna send that though, have added her to blocked bidders and ignored her since last message, my poor dd is off school after being sick this morning and i have spent most of the day trying to reason with the buyer while my dd is recovering!0 -
Don't give in to her, sounds like a classic case of "buyers remorse" to me.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £36,632.390

Didn't think it would be long before a request for a partial refund came in!
I'd just ignore her, block her, and respond to any neg feedback calmly stating the facts.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

done, done and will do when it comes lol!!!
Just makes me soooo mad to be accused of being a liar in my listing and for her to imply that i would sell something unsafe and unfit for use!! I have a 4.5 and 2.5 year old, i was using the buggy with my youngest until 3 weeks ago when i got another-i have a buggy addiction lol!!! but i would NEVER EVER sell anything unsafe and dirty, I wouldnt sell anything i wouldnt like to receive myself!
Note to self for next time-go with gut instinct, stick to pick up only and block bidders you get 'that feeling' about! i knew she was gonna be 'awkward' when she asked me to deliver it to her!!!!!0 -
Absolutely go with your gut instinct re difficult buyers and block. re neg feedback. I had someone who didnt pay for an item, failed to answer any of my gentle reminders so i had no choice but to take out a non payer strike, of course then they paid but by e cheque so after days of waiting for clearance i sent it but already knew there would be "issues". After a month ebay notified me of a non receipt case opened by this person!!!!!In it they'd stated that I hadn't answered any emails etc. I rang ebay made them go through my messages and hers so they could confirm no contact at all and confirmed Id had to start a case to get paid then I went on the offensive in the resolution centre pointing out the lies etc. She closed the case but then starting sending messages calling me a liar. Finally I got the neg I was expecting and after hours on phone got it removed.
When I read others feedback I am always swayed by the answer to a negative. You can always tell who has tried scamming who and a calm, factual reply always wins over a nasty vindictive neg thats been left by someone who has been caught out.
I sell on ebay and have had some of the aggressive buyers wanting a partial refund. I just remain calm , follow the policy and ask them to send it back since clearly they are not happy and I will refund. They never do.
Good luck, chin up, most people are not like this one.:A NI FEIDIR ACH LE DIA BREITHIUNAS A DHEANAMH ORM0
