Congrats to both of you :)
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

  • Cheers guys and gals.

OH has persuaded me to have a summer holiday this year rather than next.
Had a good month so far with a loan repayment, along with the OH promising to behave and not spend much if she can have her bed and holiday.

LO's are doing fine and DD2 starts nursery next few days too so should give OH some extra peace and quiet.

  • Afternoon all,

DD3 has been a bit of a monkey and is gaining weight at a pretty slow rate.

No further on with the holidays as we are waiting to see how the LO is closer to the time, I have however applied for a passport to be on the safe side.

Savings are going up ready for the bed purchase and holiday so no OP for the next month or two, but after that she has promised no more requests and to be good with pennies (believe that when I see it!).

Still confident I will hit my OP target for the year.

Other than that full of cold (read man flu), sleeping poorly and feeling rather cr*p :rotfl:

Hope you feel better LP and hope that that little monkey of yours starts to put the weight on.

  • Morning all,

DD3 has started putting on some weight at last and is finally above birth weight.....yay.

DD2 will soon be starting nursery after Easter so that should give the OH some time to breath during the morning.

On MSE matters, had to buy £650 worth of heating oil.
Just paid for our summer holidays and this saturday we are booked in to look at some beds for our room. Once the bed is bought that is the last large purchase of the year and its all OP's then.

    Hi LP

    Great news about DD3.

Hope all is going well otherwise.

  • Afternoon all,

DD3 has a dairy intolerance which is what was making her sick and thus lose weight early on. Other than that the LO's have been fine.

MIL has come up to stay for a while to help the OH over easter.

On the MFW front not very much on the svaing front as expected but I have paid for the holiday and our new bed, although I am not saying the cost of the bed as its a silly amount, however I suppose it will last us a very long time.

Holiday is in little over 6/7 weeks and thankfully other than swimsuits we have everything we need already. DD3 passport came back after about a week which shocked us all at the speed, glad I didn't pay for the extra quick turnaround time!

I expect to start making OP's of £1k - £1.5k per month there after.

Decided to leave guttering and drainage until next year, holiday and bed are enough expenses for this year.

  • Doing quite well at work so repaid part of a loan.

Just made an OP for the month of £6,000

  • Was rshed earlier so didn't have time to post anything other than the OP.

Had a nice weekend so we pottered about in the garden, painted the shed and chairs whilst the LO's ran about playing firemen.

Hope the next few weekends are nice as I need to get done the following:
    - Chop more firewood ready for next winter
    - trim bushes
    - Pull old ivy off the side of the house
    - Paint remaining shed
    - Paint fence

MIL had stayed with us for the past few weeks and has now gone. I don't mind her but OH and MIL tend not to get along after a week or more.

DD3 is still putting weight on slowly but has started to smile which is nice to see.

DD2 went for a checkup the other day and they are still clueless as to her condition, they don't seem overly concerned though at least and in truth we have grown used to it now. We have started the dreaded potty training in hope she will be ready in time for our hols. fingers crossed.

Money side of things I am hoping to get up to my target in the next 3 or 4 months and then will look to start saving ready for Jan when I can make a large OP to start with.
