I've just had a call telling me they have good news and bad news for me. I haven't won the main prize, but hey I've won a prize for 4 to any of 4 destinations they said. Can't remember now, just ring this number 0800 9889901 and give them the code they give me. They rang me about 5 mins ago and told me I had to ring before 3 today to claim the prize!! Needless to say the first thing I did was come on here. Oh and they got my number from entering the prizedraw on 2minutedraw.com via quidco.0

I too had a phone call in the week after winning a prize through 'Get me a ticket.com' and straight away asked if this was timeshare to which the women did respond that I would be expected to attend a short meeting for which they'd provide accomodation if we attended. After all, "they can't just put our 'winning tickets' in the post" (like other companies do everyday). I will say though that we have actually been away on a weekend on a golf complex in England through a reputable company on a timeshare basis and all we had to do was do a tour of the chalets and given prices to which we declined. If you would like a cheap week in the sun it might be worth considering but with your £29.95 you might be funding some not so legit company.0

We just got a call from CLC Resorts & Hotels saying my wife had completed some sort of questionnaire a while back and, after checking a few facts with us, said "Congratulations - You've won a holiday" and if we rang their 0800 number within one hour for further details we would receive £50 in retail vouchers :j .
Anyway, it's so reassuring to be able to check this website to establish/confirm what these things are all about!
We have also checked the Guardian's website which details CLC's clever selling techniques involved once you accepted the prize and agree to go to their presentation/s for holiday/time shares which are not so cheap!
It's fine if you are someone who can ignore the hard sell and don't mind wasting a number of hours but it's not for us as we have better things to do with our time.
A free holiday sounds great but there's a lot more to it than meets the eye that's for sure.0 -
Hi,
They got my name from the Ideal Home show. Cant someone trace it back to who passed it along and prosecute them if its not legitimate?
OK now I have more details, you first spend 2 hours at an exhibition 50 miles away from home and have to proove your identity
Then they give you a voucher.
Then they give you a holiday to choose.
If your dates are free.... its OK
If your location is free.....its OK
You pay £30 per person for an admin fee.
You pay all airport additional costs, taxes etc which they say are £32+ per person.
Its 100% self catering

I received a phone call today telling me that I'd won a 7 night luxury holiday in either Portugal, Costa Del Sol or Tenerife plus they would give me a ngihts stay in London in a 4 star hotel on them as an extra treat. I called this number quoting my reference - I have to pay £29.50 per person plus all airport taxes and go to London (hence the free trip) to collect my prize but becuase I am having to travel down there (live in Nottingham) they will put us up in a 4 star hotel overnight. I said I needed to checkw ith my husband but then looking on the internet I'm now not so sure that it isn't just a bit of a con. They also needed to know if I owned my own home and was married or living with my spouse. Mmmmmm0

I just got one of these calls today. I apparently I filled in a questionnaire but they couldn't tell me where or how I'd done it e.g. an online competition.
The number they called from was 01268885650 and they they went on to give me a free phone number 0800 988 9901 and an alphanumeric reference.
When asked or further info, they couldn't give me any.
I looked at competition sites I go to but SURPRISE! I hadn't been registered as a winner on them. So I decided to do a search for the company & thankfully found this forum.
Leave it well alone!0 -
Yup I had one too yesterday, what a load of old tosh!"Every time you feel yourself getting pulled into someone else's nonsense, tell yourself: Not my circus, not my monkeys." - Mark Borkowski.

My wife has just received a phone call to say that she had won 3rd prize in a draw - free holiday for 2 etc. She had been shopping at the Kingfisher Centre in Redditch recently and had been surveyed about travel agencies in the centre - miraculously her entry in the prize draw came out - I was suspicious and found this site - we wont be going!0
