Have I won a holiday or is it a scam?

You haven't missed out on a good cheap holiday, you've missed out on the chance to be sold to at the Holiday Inn followed by an even longer sell at the resort. You can generally rent direct for less. If you think these are bargains look at how much they go for on ebay. From MSE Martin - Some General Tips On Holiday Home Organisations and Sales Meetings
DO NOT TOUCH ANY OF THEM WITH A BARGEPOLE!0 -
I've just had a call, blah blah blah, same old story with the fees and presentation etc.
I've read an earlier post by someone who said it's genuine and they're going to go again with another family member - I think this could be a bit of marketing as opposed to a real poster! - but the majority don't take it any further.
I'm pretty unmovable when it comes to the hard sell, so if I turn up for the 2-4 hour presentation will I actually walk away with a holiday for my family for £30pp plus airport taxes (about the same) so less than £250?
Even at resort, how can they force you to go to further presentations?
Surely you can avoid them?
Has anyone (real people) actually been on the presentations and then been on the holiday?0 -
Has anyone been to one of these and got the tickets / vouchers for the holiday, my mom has also been offered this but wonder if it's worth sitting there for a couple of hours?
Thanks in advance0 -
Yes, I have taken a week with them.
The site on the Costa Del Sol does have high-quality apartments, but the whole thing was just like being on a posh housing estate. Not for me, and everything on the site is expensive and cost fortunes by taxi to go into the town.
Really, by the time you pay the fees to CLC and the airfares and the taxis, you can get comparable deals cheaper elsewhere.
The worst part is having to sit through two presentations- one at the meeting place and a second one on the holiday. This is certainly not for the polite, the gullible or the easily persuaded - these guys are masters of the hard sell given in a soft manner.

Within the terms and conditions you have to attend the meeting. If you don't they will charge you the full cost for the week."If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
