There's a website which I think is called Crimeshare - the Wiltshire, Devon, Exeter etc companies are all scallies that are continually being ionvestigated by Crime squad.
Alot of these companies are owned by the same directors and there is a huge interwoven web of deceit that includes (though I cannot name for legal reasons) a chartered accountants office, a large Isle of Wight Timeshare 'mother company' and numerous offshoot companies that are 'managed' from the Isle of Wight but are in fact British Virgin Island registered ie out of accountability for company records disclosure.
I would personally give the timeshare, holiday competitions, free holidays thing a wide berth if its associated with that part of the country. Do a good deal of research into the company before you part with a single penny.Integrity is a dying art!:p0 -

I had a phone call from 'get me a ticket' yesterday saying I had won a holiday  I asked if there was a catch and was told theres no catch. I was given a tel no (0800 0086115) so googled the tel no and up popped this page  . I knew it was too good to be true.
How can they get away with saying I have won a free holiday?
I think I will ring the number later and just ask out right if it is a timeshare, then I will contact 'get me a ticket' and complain

i think i got a call from these today. told me i entered a comp and that i hadnt won but had won a lesser przi of a holiday just ring a freephone number. i rung the number who said i had to pay £30 each (not alot i know) and go to a seminer next week. i asked if it was timeshares and they said yes.
needless to say im not going. i was going to get really excited as well as im worrying how to pay for our family holiday and my husband is spending any money i make as quick as i make it.back to comping in 2017, fingers crossed :beer:0 -
I had one of these calls today. From a company called CLC Exhibitions (he told me the name every time I asked and even gave me the web address, saying it was a consolation prize - flights and SC accomm for 4 in Europe for £29.50 each, just have to go to an exhibition in London in a couple of weeks and they'll pay for overnight hotel accomm (and gave hotel web addy). I fobbed him off and he said he'd ring me back tomorrow - not a premium call number in sight. I'm still convinced it must be a scam or a hard sales push tho. Has anyone had dealings with this lot? Think I'll still steer clear.MASSIVE THANKS TO ALL POSTERS!:happyhear0

I got the same call today and the caller had all my personal details from getmeaticket.co.uk. I smelled scam straight away and haven't rung the freephone number yet. Glad I was directed to this thread it's saved me the bother. Thank you. How do these callers sleep at night?"If the Apocalypse comes; Beep me!"0

I too have heard from these people just an hour ago saying the usual you have won through getmeaticket.co.uk. Luckily I checked before I rang!0

I've just had the same company ringing me and telling me I'd not won the main prize but had won 4 flights and accomodation in europe. I just had to ring the freephone number to confirm. I rang the number but grew concerned when it rang it went straight to a call diversion without saying the company name, then someone answered who sounded like they were in a car....at that point I hung up. Luckily I came across the scam here but it's a bit worrying as they have lots of details about you!0

Think this is the same company who hang up on me when I tell them I'm not married or living with a partner.
Why would you need to be married to win a holiday??
Oh... another call I got was from what sounded like a mobile phone, telling me I had won a car and could collect it from a nearby car showroom the next day. Didnt believe it and asked lots of silly questions, what colour is it?, I cant drive could they give me a lift home in it?
They kept asking me to 'confirm my details', by giving my name and address, I refused, and told them to tell me what details they had and I would confirm if they were correct. They tried their hardest to get my address and arrange a time for me to collect my 'prize'. However, if I did, I would be giving them specific details of where I lived and when I would be out of the house. I have never entered a competition for a car as I dont drive so I knew from the start that they were at it.
