RBS internal credit scores

I got a phone call from the branch (finally!) today. The girl said that it wasn't possible just to send the application back referred, but that a whole appeal process has to be gone through with a new application as PLU won't have done anything with what she sent them originally.
So now I have to go into the branch with all the proof that BG c***ed up again, she will go through a new application and send her recommendation in.
All still sounds a bit suspect to me but will keep you posted.

That sounds like balls. Did you get a letter through the post to say you were declined? Did they perform a credit search on you that you can see on your credit file?Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

Couldn't agree more. No, I never got a letter to say I had been declined, just the branch telling me. Also the telephone banking when I phoned them told me that a note saying the same thing (ie it was due to an unpaid item) is on my record as the reason.
No credit search has been done.

There is virtually no chance of the lending unit looking at this. They can, in theory, override declined applications but would not without reason (ie unless they've agreed to look at it over the phone) and then cases can be faxed up. I cannot see how they'd be involved in this at all.
Sounds to me like the person in the branch has little idea what to do.0 -

Telephone banking would not have access to such information as they do not have acess to the systems.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
Friendly warning to people in this thread. While i'm not an rbs employee, my comrades who are have brought to my attention the secrecy disclosure you signed when you started.
I would be more than happy to help tiger by pm, and would encourage her to get in touch with myself or one of the obviously knowledgeable people here, but if she's already brought to the banks attention that internal info is being posted here i'd advise caution in publicising any more of your employers internal processes. Wouldn't want to see anyone out of work just from trying to help.Union official.
CiPD qualified.
Anything I post is solely MY OPINION. It never constitutes legal, financial or collective bargaining advice. I may tell you based on information given how I might approach an employment dispute case, but you should always seek advice from your own Union representative. If you don't have one, get one!0 -
What the bank tell you is utter tosh. They are fully aware of how to reconstitute what is called an interest ladder and the term they need to apply is to back value the amounts to the correct dates. On the wholesale side the contractual terms often allow up to millions to be back valued over quite lengthy time periods and your direct debit is not going to cause a meaningful break for anyone in their treasury funding department I assure you.
If you can get this done, then it would have an automatic effect of fixing the credit things because it would simply be as if it never happened, as though you had gone back in time, which is essentially what your account has done.0 -

I would never post anything on here that I wouldn't say to a customer at work personally.0
