The only thing I'm not convinced of is my weekly allowance. When PP first started, almost everyone was being told 29 points, so I'm assuming that's where I should be now. I don't know how to find out, other than e-source or meetings, so I'll just have to hope for the best.
I was weighed at my GP surgery in August and was distraught to find that I was 15st 10lbs. The heaviest I have ever been. That was the shove in the back that I needed to get back on board again.
I have been weighing myself on Monday mornings (WW scales! - I really bought into the whole thing :rotfl:) and last week I was down to 14st 7lbs, so I'm obviously doing something right! I am actually looking forward to Monday mornings now!

I am more interested in the reflection in the mirror and the size of my clothes. At the moment, I have just binned my size 22 jeans and am in a size 20. Still shockingly big for a woman who is just 5ft 2ins.

Hi Hootie19, welcome to the thread - Im a relative newbie to all this and got lots of weight to lose. I was trying on size 20s today as my 22s are falling off but I think I need wide fitting trousers as have big thighs, very annoying!! I'm aiming to be a curvy size 16 again at the moment. I cant imagine being smaller and although at 5ft 4 I wouldnt be skinny I would be happy again in my own skin. Im also not exercising as Ive been guilty of overdosing at the gym in the past and dont have the motivation to keep it up.....

Keep up the good work :)

You two both sound like you're just about my size! I'm 5ft 5 ( keep trying to kid myself I'm 5.6 but I'm not!) and was 15st 10 when I started too, back in March. Now down to 13st 13.5, but still a long way to go, as I realised when I walked past a shop window today! I was still squeezing myself into some size 20s at my heaviest, but I know I was a 22 if I'm honest. Some of the 20s are now becoming loose, and I'm even in an 18 in some clothes. I'm probably back at my 'regular' size now, as I was 13st something for a long time, it's only in the past 3 years I've put the extra 2 stone on,so in some way I don't really feel like I've lost much, as I'm still very overweight. I suppose if I can lose another stone that's when I'll really start to notice it as at the moment most of the clothes in my wardrobe still fit me, they're just a lot looser!

I would say 29 points is right for the weight you are now, I started on 32 but have been at 29 for a good while now.

Minty - I know exactly what you mean about the shop window reflections. I'm sure those windows are made from the same materials as the fairground Halls of Mirrors!!

Anyway, I weighed myself this morning, and was pleased to see that I am now 14st 4.75lbs. I've rounded it up to 14st 5lbs as the chart that I've got that I colour in each week only deals in whole pounds. And anyway, that gives me a 1/4lb headstart on next week! So "officially" 2.25lbs off, but realistically 2lbs. I'd be happier if it was more, but I've done almost no exercise last week, so am content with it.

Good luck to anyone else who weighs in today, and for the rest of the week.

I never knew that!! Thank you so much. I guess I really ought to read manuals when I get new stuff. Just done all the bits and yes, 29 points, so I've been doing it right, at least!

Och so pleased for you Hootie....Yes you can do it...even gentle walking will help :j.

Currently the house is stinking of epoxy due to trying to repair my e-cig (it was cheaper than sending it away though now I think I should have as the wires are not soldered into the connector for the mouthpiece)...

Made a lovely sunflower roast on Saturday and it does 6 portions :)...Yum...Had it with pots (out of a tin) and frozen peas and gravy... Yum yum yum...No mayo. Mayo really is my downfall right now. So have gotten in pittas and salad and houmous for lunch. Hopefully that should be better for me :D

And need to start cooking again for self so that's this week's target. Never mind therapy routines. Cooking :)..

So yeah that's me......Weight down by 1.5 lbs from Thursday (2.5 from yesterday)...going to quit the tea time weights cos I have like no idea of whether they're good or bad. I just can't work it out. Sometimes I weigh myself after my bath before I eat, sometimes after. It's just too much of a headache... Would rather just weight middle of the night, half dehydrated after toilet before water..

Weight up again :(...so annoyed...and I heard voices last night cos I refused to walk home from knitting society cos I was laden with 4 stitch and !!!!! books.....Sat at the bus stop for like 20 mins before we realised the bus wasn't coming. Got to the top of the road only to realise the road was closed...Dang dang dang..

So full fry up last night and load of hummous...whoops. Have to get the cost of houmous down. I know I can...Just can't afford £2 every 2-3 days...eek...

So weight up this am :(...and craving cheese late last night (hence I had the houmous).....so yeah quite pleased I didn't weigh myself last night. No point in stressing myself out unduly and just can't get head around evening weigh ins....

My local shops seem all out of soleros (my hubby maintains I have eaten them all!!!! What about supply and demand?) but I discovered shape desserts tonight. 3 points each the same as soleros, very yummy. Have now tried the white chocolate and the caramel. They are on 2 packs of 4 for 3 quid in the Coop if anyone fancies trying them (not sure if this is a good price or not).

Still prefer berry berry soleros though:D

just been to weigh in and lost a half pound this week so got my stone:j:j:j
now it may seem strange that last week i was upset when i lost 2.5 lb and am happy this week but it is the stone and that is brill.

I have had a really bad cold/cough this week that has resulted in 4 days off work and lots of cough medicine and lemsips which i didnt think to point until the class leader said tonight i was really lucky to have lost anything at all as they are so high in points.

I will know in future if i get the lurgy again.
On ward and upward for next week my next goal is the next stone bracket down for which i need to lose 5 lb so a few weeks away yet.
  • 0.5lb loss again this week, which I was very lucky to get after my mum called round with her lethal banana cake! Got two meals out next week so I'll need to be careful, but would love to get another lb or two off next week!
  • Another 1.5lb for me this week - another two to my first stone!
