Hi, has anyone tried doing just the Internet version? I'm thinking of trying weight watchers for the first time and like the idea of the online version for ease of fitting it around life?

    Thanks in advance

Try Sparkpeople hun if I were you...it's very like weightwatchers but online and free only the menu plans are pants as they're american... But if you're prepared for trial and error just go for it. Just be careful not to sign up for the 101 emails otherwise you're inbox will be chocca with junk..

Erme - have you spoken to a doctor about your weightloss plans? The bit I've highlighted worries me. I've been there and I know it is difficult dieting with a history.... When you say you are not eating all your calories, how many are you averaging at? Personally, I think you should do a meal plan and stick to it. If you crash diet and deliberately lose weight fast, it won't stay off. That or you won't be able to stop......

Thanks hun. So appreciated...getting to the point where don't like being hungry so much. Whoopsied a bit on thursday night by having a full calorie half a pint of lemonade. Not over exercising. Just trying to do wee bits here and there.. Also I have to eat a min of a 1000 calories a day otherwise I hear voices. So like if I'm hearing them in the evening I straight away check that...

Not been really menu planning much the past few weeks with the meds change and the depression but hope to make some yummy veggie meatloaf this pm for tomorrow's tea....Can't remember how many cals.....Don't mind. It'll be yummy :) Have that with a tin of potatoes and peas and some gravy and I get my healthy Sabbath tea in....

But yeah do believe in the menu planning stuff and do believe in having a minimum of 1200 calories a day...

  • Hi guys - I'm back in the room - sorta caught up with the thread. Congrats to all those with losses & welcome to all new posters. Have fallen off of the wagon since the holiday and then we moved a week ago so haven't been able to stick to the plan. But am back on the wagon firmly & determined to lose that last 9lbs now. Have been tracking the last 2 days & cupboards filled with yummy low pp foods. Happy to be back in the fold! :D

If you have done it correctly then you should see WW 'tracked' on your quidco account. Log into quidco and check there.

The money for WW will come off your credit/debit card and you will get the cash from quidco in a month or two into your bank account.

Is there room for another (potential) wee one in this group? I am a member of several forum groups with WW sections, but I think the more I spread myself, the more people I need to impress, and the more likely I am to stick to the plan. Also there will be more hints and tips to pick up and to share, the more people I interact with.

So - here I am. I went to WW 2.5 years ago (discover plan) and it was a breeze. I lost 2 stone in four months and never struggled with it. Oh, apart from one week when I gained 0.5lb and went straight to bed from the meeting in a towering sulk :rotfl::o.

Then I got a very rare form of anaemia, the treatment for which was a mahoosive dose of steriods. And one of the side effects was an increase in appetite (and how!) and weight gain. So I put all the weight back on again - and then some. I went back again about 6 months ago, but couldn't really motivate myself, so stopped again. And I've only just got back into "The Zone" (the key, I believe to my success last time - I was mentally ready for it) and have started back on WW.

Finances are incredibly tight at the moment, and there's no spare cash for either e-source or meetings, but I've got all the gumph (PP pedometer, PP calculator, PP Eat Out Guide and PP Shopping Guide) and can pretty much remember the jist of it. The only thing I'm not convinced of is my weekly allowance. When PP first started, almost everyone was being told 29 points, so I'm assuming that's where I should be now. I don't know how to find out, other than e-source or meetings, so I'll just have to hope for the best.

I was weighed at my GP surgery in August and was distraught to find that I was 15st 10lbs. The heaviest I have ever been. That was the shove in the back that I needed to get back on board again.

I have been weighing myself on Monday mornings (WW scales! - I really bought into the whole thing :rotfl:) and last week I was down to 14st 7lbs, so I'm obviously doing something right! I am actually looking forward to Monday mornings now!

I don't really know what my ultimate goal is. I'm one of those who thinks that numbers on the scales are a good indication of what progress is being made, but that it's not the be all and end all. I am more interested in the reflection in the mirror and the size of my clothes. At the moment, I have just binned my size 22 jeans and am in a size 20. Still shockingly big for a woman who is just 5ft 2ins.

I'd love to be a size 12, but I think I need to be realistic. 51 years old, menopausal and not overly active - can't see me getting down to my teenage size, but I can dream! At the moment I am being treated for a DVT, and have been told "gentle exercise only" so I'm restricting myself to just walking at the moment.

So, I look forward to getting to know you all, and offering whatever support I can, as well as picking up hints and tips.

Hi Hootie19, welcome to the thread - Im a relative newbie to all this and got lots of weight to lose. I was trying on size 20s today as my 22s are falling off but I think I need wide fitting trousers as have big thighs, very annoying!! I'm aiming to be a curvy size 16 again at the moment. I cant imagine being smaller and although at 5ft 4 I wouldnt be skinny I would be happy again in my own skin. Im also not exercising as Ive been guilty of overdosing at the gym in the past and dont have the motivation to keep it up.....

Keep up the good work :)

I never knew that!! Thank you so much. I guess I really ought to read manuals when I get new stuff. Just done all the bits and yes, 29 points, so I've been doing it right, at least!
