In fairness, I put 1lb on last time I went, so in my mind it's a wee half pound0 -
Ooooh, just saw this thread.
I joined WW 8 weeks ago and have lost 15.5lbs. A few more to go till I reach my 10%.0 -

Any tips on how to work out the points for food in restaurants. I am trying really hard, but today they've stuck me in a hotel in the middle of nowhere, so will have to eat in the restaurant. Normally I would nip to a supermarket and get a salad, or eat somewhere thats in the Eating out book. Eating in the hotel also has the advantage that the company pay for it!
I'll do a best guess at the points and fill up on veggies.
Aim for chicken of some sort? Melon for starter, fruit salad for pudding? At least then you'll know how much of it will be 0 points...0 -

welcome izoomzoom & wow congrats on ur losses so far!
ok so I finally bit the bullet & WI today... as suspected I have put on 3lbs - however I think this is to be expected as I had 2 weeks off the plan & one of those was an all inclussive holiday. So back to tracking & sticking to it this week. BNS soup cooking as I type to take to work with me...
It has got me thinking though about when I get to goal - if I put on 3lbs in 2 weeks how am I ever going to cope? I'm not sure I'll be able to track for the rest of my life - what do others think? Hope all the weekend weighers have a nice surprise when the reach the scales xDF as at 30/12/16

As you were on holiday all inclusive I bet you ate a different type of food to your usual diet anyway and drank more perhaps.
You will change your eating habits by the time you reach goal and hopefully that will help to maintain with out dedicated tracking.
Well thats what i am hoping anyway other wise why the hell are we bothering to put our selves through this in the first place.
Good luck for next week it might be like a first week with a really good loss after 2 weeks off the plan.0 -

When I get to goal, there is absolutely no way I'll be able to track the whole time, it would drive me mad!
Not sure if the same applies to you, but I used to eat fairly healthily (bar the odd binge/pizza) before the weight piled on. I was at the same weight for about 6 years without trying to maintain, so I really hope I'll find that maintaining won't be too bad when I get there. Doing WW has made me realise how appauling my eating became in the last year or so, and I'm being re-educated again. I have a rough idea of the points in what I'm eating, and when I'm at goal I'll probably use that as a guideline, and for example, if I go our for dinner one night I'll try and be good for the rest of the week.
Also, I've realised how sedentry my job is as I used to walk a lot (especially when I lived in Brighton up a huge hill, there are hills all over the place there!), so I try and factor in little things like walking to the local shops, taking the stairs which I'll always do at work, or parking at the far end of the supermarket.
Good luck to everyone in the next week, my WI is tomorrow, was 1.5lbs down last week but I think I'll be lucky if i STS this week.

1 ripe banana
3 desertspoons mango purree (I got it from sainsburys) 1pp
1/4 ss milk 2pp (you could easily use skimmed ot soya for 1pp)

whiz it all in the blender. Truely delish & fillingDF as at 30/12/16
