Could you have a smoothie in the morning? The fruit would be 0PPs but adding some natural yoghurt would bump up the total and give your body a better start than just coffee/tea.

I can't even eat fruit, let alone adding sour milk to it :D I drink my coffee black and my tea with less than a teaspoon of skimmed milk. In total all week, I use less than a pint of skimmed milk.

It just goes to show how many sweets etc. I used to eat. I could easily go through a whole bag of wine gums while driving anywhere.

I think because I *know* that all my weight gain was due to snacking (mainly HM bread) I am scared of snacking at all in case it leads me back to old ways. mmm tiger bread!!!!

Can relate, my bad isnt the bread, its the THICK layer of lurpak that accompanies it

WI tomorrow morning- it would be lovely to lose 1.5lb to be at my first (of many) stones but I bet it will be half or one.... In saying that, any downward move is a good one :)

Oh I can relate to the butter/spread thing too. It's JUST. SO. GOOD! ;P

I don't know how it will actually work out but judging by yesterday I might do OK points wise, probably only had my dailies so plenty of weeklies for Sunday (carvery meal and buffet-y thing in the evening).

Well, the proof of the pudding, as they say....

Off to WI this morning, my shiny new scales say 2 pounds off, so this will give me an idea of how accurate they are!

    Good luck at WI :D

I have Mama and Papa Fresian visiting this weekend and although they've only been here for a day I'm already knackered! They are people who enjoy eating and can't understand why I don't want to go out for a Chinese meal tonight. We compromised on Frankie and Bennys last night as I can eat from the lighter menu, but tonight they really want Chinese food. What can I eat that won't break the points bank?

I'm having toast and low-fat marge for breakfast (6 points) and am taking 4 points of snacks with me for the day, so this leaves me 20 points available, assuming I don't have lunch. I'm going to try and sneak home for a low-fat wrap, which will be 5 points, so what can I eat in a Chinese that will be 20-25 points? I may as well use my weeklies!

Old Me would have had spring rolls to start, then roast duck in plum sauce with noodles. What can Trying-To-Be-Thinner-Me have?

I think you're going to have to take the hit f_f. Unless you go for veggie options, would they be lighter? You could stick to boiled rice rather than fried, but not sure it would make enough difference.

And will there be alcohol involved too?

No booze for me :D Rice is pretty high in PPs anyway - I've not really been eating it since starting WW.

I'm going to continue trying to make them go to Pizza Express instead where I can have a yummy pizza and only use 14PPS ;)

WI this morning and I have lost another 1lb :) It takes me to 13.5lbs and I have hit my 5%mark too so although I wanted to make it my 1st stone today, am still quite happy. Without doing any exercise I seem to be losing a pound a week and I can now get my size 22 trousers off without undoing them LOL

    Well done:)

5% is my next mark, and for me too will mean just under a stone lost, so a big milestone. I have a pair of jeans that *need* to be worn with a belt or else they fall down as I walk.

I have no photos of myself more recent than 10 years ago, so am keeping those jeans as a *before* item.

I'm off to WI in a bit too!
