Just posted this on the bottom of another thread but thought i would start my own.
Having a problem with the above company. They currently have a big wad of my money and i have no wedding ring.
Ordered 1st January and told it would be despached in 5-7 days. Had various excuses and lies from in the weeks afterwards and still have no product.
From about 2 weeks ago I have been unable to contact them on the phone, by email or by leaving voice messages.
Just phoned the British Jewellers Association and found out they had their membership cancelled on 3rd November 2011.
Any help would be appreciated.

We have been in contact with Globe Jewellery who have asked us to post the following statement to address some point raised about any perceived connection with Nuttalls in this thread:
Hi
I hope to clarify some of your questions/queires regarding the company Globe Jewellery Ltd and the now closed company Nuttalls Of Chester Ltd.
Globe Jewellery is an entirely different company purchased by myself to that of Nuttalls of Chester and has been trading since in that manner.
Included in the purchase was all the website attributes, such as pictures and admin area facilities etc, that Nuttalls had already set up and designed. Some setting up of hardware and software was also included. We know some pictures will still have Nuttalls logos on until we can remove. Many pictures are direct from suppliers and therefore used by other internet retailers, therefore many of the product images we sell will also be seen in different stores across the web.
The website layout does not look like the Nuttalls website in any way, but a lot of the text is very similar, especially the legal side such as 'terms and conditions' and 'privacy policy'. Again an originally purchased feature as part of the website. These are very similar in many websites so as to follow distance selling guidelines.
Our website also has some different suppliers items and a greater total number of items for sale compared to that of Nuttalls.
The trading address is adjacent to the old Nuttalls of Chester shop which has now gone, and just like many other retailers in this retail park it therefore has the same post code, but different unit numbers. Because of the close proximity it also has a similar (but different) trading address, and an entirely different registered office. We do use the same PO Box as Nuttalls used for security purposes, again this was a feature of the acquisition. At this time we are not open to the public as was Nuttalls, but we do hope to open our showroom to the general public in the next few months.
All the other legal entities such as VAT and Company numbers are different.
Unfortunately because we are a different company we are not liable for any problems you may have had with Nuttalls, and legally we cannot get involved with such disputes.
I sincerely hope this offers clarification on the situation, but I must reiterate that Globe Jewellery Ltd is and always has been, an entirely different company to that of Nuttalls of Chester Ltd.
Best regards
Managing Director.

Weve had the same experience may we suggest you go to moneyclaim.gov.uk and make these people give your money back, its the only thing we could do. It costs £35 but you can claim that back, also add up all your phone calls youve made to these people, cost of registered mail etc you can reclaim anything these people have taken from you. Best of luck.
Let us know what happens x0 -
Have you had any response from them - i'm the same ordered something the end of Jan (birthday pressie needed for 10th march), was told it would be with them by the 24th at the latest, call today for an update and was told that the item i order was discontinued - item is still on their website and their Customer Service skills leaves a lot to be answered for.0

Ive had an on going problem with this company since November14th 2010. I purchased a ring as a christmas present, and was quoted a 10 - 14 day delivery. After 6 weeks and numerous phone calls, they informed me that the ring was discontinued, and I would be refunded. Over the last 4 months I have lost count of the number of phone calls I have made to this company, (most unanswered), if I leave voice mail or email they fail to respond. On the rare occasions I have managed to speak to anyone, they have blamed paypal (although I didnt buy the item through paypal), then they said they had a new accounting system in place and the the refund would be with me the 2nd week in April......I spoke to Amands today (May 3rd) and they now tell me they have a backlog and my refund will be with me either the week commencing 9th May or 16th May, frankly I dont believe a word of it, how long can it possibly take to either make a bank transfer or write a cheque? I would strongly advise anyone against dealing with this company.0

If you paid by credit or visa debit card then ask your card provider to initiate a chargeback. For anybody else googling them before buying my advice is Don't!0

The ring I ordered in November which they told me was a discontinued line, is now back on their website?? and I'm STILL awaiting a refund...How do these crooks get away with it?0

not sure what this means, but they have had their isis accreditation withdrawn in april0 -
Thats interesting, I spoke to this organisation regarding Nuttalls last month and they said they would look into it.!! still doesnt get us our refunds back tho....Grrrrr0

On seeing that the ring is back on the website, I emailed them to check expected delivery time if I placed an order. John Nuttal replied informing me that the ring is indeed discontinued and would I be interested in ordering an alternative?...All well and good, but it doesnt prevent people ordering and paying for it and then waiting 5 months plus for a refund.!!!0
