Wow I've just discovered how wonderful sugar soap actually is. I've got loads of little grease and scuff marks on my white walls which nothing would shift and I'd pretty much resigned myself to the idea of repainting when someone suggested scrubbing with sugar soap. I'd only ever used it before painting before but it actually cleans greasy marks off a treat and without too much elbow grease as well. I've done one wall so far. Only the rest of the flat to go but perversely it's such satisfying work seeing all the walls come lovely and clean. My day off to do DIY hopefully wont be as much of a waste as many previous ones have been over the years.MFi3 member 105 - MFW date Oct 2023 - 12 years 9 months more0

I wouldn't waste a microfibre cloth, I'd use an old rag or cleaning cloth.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -
