    Hi camelot

I recall sugar soap as being great at cleaning tiles, but not necessarily cleaning grout.
    thanks

I have used stuff called Grot Buster which I got from Tesco, it is like a really strong bleach and it cleaned the grout brilliantly.
  • It doesnt take the paint off does it on walls?

Sugar soap has worked wonders on my walls, PVC window frames with sellotape marks from Xmas lights that nothing else would get off, and also my patio! OH wanted a pressure washer, my box of sugar soap and an hours work saved us a fortune.

I put sugar soap on my shreddies, its great !

Ok maybe not, try vinegar on grout as it will likely be mold based dirt which isnt easily taken off. Same for windows, vinegar and and newspaper. Sounds too simple works best

Is sugar soap OK for kitchen cupboard doors that have a shiny finish? I usually use Flash, but it doesn't seem to be good enough to get rid of sticky streaks (which attracts cat hairs!!).

    Anyone know?

It should be fine but a shiny surface might need a wipe with a clean, damp cloth after you've finished. Sugar Soap is ace for getting shot of greasy marks. Just like the ones on my own kitchen cupboards. I must get to them some time....

Didn't think of looking for a thread on Sugar Soap :o. I bought the spray bottle but I wouldn't recommend it. Spent ages spraying and trying to clean up my walls and patio doors all to no avail. Off to buy some powder now - thanks :j!
