I bought some sugar soap yesterday (powder from Wilkos and a bottle from poundland cos I'm lazy lol) to wipe over the paintwork in our spare room before painting it. Lo and behold today I find a thread all about it! Thank you for sharing your tips, even though I know they'll need doing again after decorating I've done the window in the spare room this morning - inside and out. It looks so clean!
After reading your suggested uses on here I've been cleaning allsorts today lol. The bath has never looked so shiny, the tiles are gleaming...I actually enjoyed cleaning for a changeThank you!

Would it remove paint splashes on (toughened) glass?
I wouldn't use it on plain glass but on a textured window that has been destroyed by a bad paint job, I'm thinking it might be worth a try. thoughts?0 -
Brilliant! The tiled floor in my parent's bathroom is covered in paint and grout and we've tried everything to remove, apart from Sugar Soap which I completely forgot about. Shall give it a go next week.0

I had no idea about using sugar soap for clearing limescale in toilets. Will definitely try it0

Bought the liquid in the pound shop.:T0 -
Hi Jehfet, which pound shop, or does anyone else know, thanks. p.s. love sugar soap, normally buy the made up bottles, but assuming i can make up and keep in spray bottle. I normally do walls and paintwork, but will defo give a try on my tiles.0

Do you think the already made up liquid Sugar Soap is as strong as the powder? I bought the bottle but wasn't impressed with it. It definitely didn't make my paintwork come up as well.0

when you make up the powder, you can make it as strong as you like, by adding less water, or more powder, i find it amazing on walls and paintwork, really good, i buy it normally in diy shops like homebase. Maybe the liquid one you are talking about is different, if not, not sure why you did not find it good, maybe you have even better cleaning products. Am having a bit of a cleaning fit at mo, and have ordered stardrops on the shopping, but it has mixed reviews, can anyone recommend0

I know this is an old thread but what is better, the powder sugar soap or the liquid (which is on sale in the pound shop)?0
