Hi everyone! :hello:
I'm so sorry to hear about Diva, I never had the pleasure of knowing her, but my thoughts go out to her friends and family and everyone here that knew her. RIP.
Sorry I didn't post yesterday, I was ill and off work. I'm going away on Sunday, so instead of doing the jobs on the flylady list I thought I'd post my own list of jobs to do before then, I hope that's ok?
Holiday-related jobs
Make a list of things to take on holiday
Find miniature smellies/make-up and toiletry bag
Make sure clothes I want to take are clean
Find passport/documents/travel guide
Pack everything into hand luggage (not paying for checked in luggage easyjet!) and take things out and rearrange if necessary
Find adaptor plug/s
Cleaning/tidying jobs
Sort out kitchen (am hoping DH makes a start on this tonight!)
Give bathrooms a quick clean and use white vinegar on two sinks and the bath
If time, tidy lounge and bedroom and put away clothes which are currently piled up in spare bedroom, sweep and mop downstairs, dust and hoover everywhere else except bathrooms.
Other jobs
Send card and solved crossword!

Hey there vanilla and xx_Jo_xx I have 2 boy's 9 and 11 they have both always done thier homework alone.
When they get home from school they know if they have homework they have to sit and do it and arn't allowed to play untill it's finished. I give it a quick check over when they are finished to make sure they've done it and thats about it.
The only other time i involve myself is if they get stuck and need a hand, even then it's not about giving them the answers but talking though the question and what they know so they can work it out themselves.
I don't know if it's unusual, maybe our house is weird, but they've been doing it unaided, pretty much since they started school. Back then i used to just read the instruction's out and let them get on with it but all kids are different, maybe yours respond better to having you there.0 -
