  • Happy birthday Choccybix.

Have had a fairly good first week - haven't managed to keep up reading all the posts but have dipped in and out and send big hugs to all those who need them.

I am so glad I joined this thread - I am struggling to do all the dailies as I work full time and don't feel like cleaning when I have finally got my 2 DDs in bed! However, I have been flying like mad today. The ground floor of our house is starting to look more manageable. Roped OH and DDs in to hoover and dust, polish the living room while I cooked dinner tonight so that was a result!

This afternoon I have managed the following from the list plus a few extra bits and bobs:

    Kitchen:
    • cleaned windows inside and out - ok not on the list but they were really scuzzy and at least now I can see the mammoth task that is the garden....oh dear :-(
    • swept and mopped floor
    • cleared out the baking tin/tray cupboard and filled a box of rusty old tut that OH took to the tip for recycling for me
    • washed this cupboard inside and out and polished the doors
    • dejunked the window sill
    • shined the stinky sink
    Dining room
    • cleaned the windows outside (did the insides a couple of weeks ago so not so critical)
    • swept the wooden floor and cleaned it
    • dusted the window sill and book case
    • changed the table cloth
    • did 15 minutes paperwork including writing cheque for eldest DD dance exam
    Downstairs loo
    • cleaned sink, loo, mirror and window (inside and out)
    • swept and mopped the wooden floor
    • cleaned the toilet brush holder (eeeuuughhh)
    Living room
    • hoovered and cleaned leather sofas
    • vacuumed the room and behind the sofas
    • dusted and washed down the fireplace
Have also done 4 loads of washing and have put away socks, undies etc so that my usual 3 baskets of clean washing to sort is now down to half a basket of ironing which I may manage in a HHI challenge tomorrow!

I am dreading tackling the upstairs but am feeling much more optimistic that I will get the house under control. It was great having the lists and seeing that I have managed to tick some things off feels great. You never know, in time I may be able to 'fly' through the dailies when I get home from work!

Love to all and as for next week - bring it on.......

Busy, busy day. Taking 5 minutes while my veggies cook and my fish pie prepares for despatch.

Big chest freezer all defrosted and sorted (or as sorted as I intend today!)
    Fridge, ditto
    General tidy round house
WM emptied, refilled and airer sorted
    DW emptied
    Poo patrol
    Garden birds looked after
    Kitchen floor swashed
And a nice long chat to SIL

Tonight's entertainment looks like an HHI or two - that's for laters.

I have already written my list for tomorrow. :D
    Work is not my Hobby
  • Going to do a couple of HHA (half hour Admin) need to narrow down a list of first dance songs but my taste is totally different to OH. I like cheesey pop and modern r'n'b, he likes stuff like ozzy osborne and ramstein  Any suggestions ladies? Im listening to magic at the moment and so far i have

savage garden - truely madly deeply
righteous brothes - unchained melody (i adore this)
bruno mars - your amazing just the way you are (dont know proper title)
savage garden - i knew i loved you
    snow patrol - chasing cars

i need something we can sway to as we both have two left feet and im thinking with my back that swaying will be more than enough!

    thanks
  • i left 3 loads of washing on the line and took the DD's to the cinema.

I left strict instructions about bringing the washing in - WHICH WERE IGNORED!:mad::mad:

So I am about to iron some damp washing...... GRRRR!
    :jFlylady and proud of it:j

I was going to suggest "Changes" till I read the lyrics...

Ooh, I'm so excited! :j I've just found someone who is going to be at our resort at the same time as us when we get married, who has offered to be our witnesses. They are Canadian, and going there to celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary! My birthday is Canada Day, so hopefully this is a good omen.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.
I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/2017

Sounds like a very good omen sexy! Not long to go now either

Now I'm a bit excited, decided this year was the year to really tackle the debts seriously and move forward - snowballing around and some overpayments to CCs and DFD has already reduced from 2015 to 2014 - a good sign to keep me motivated to keep going
final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333

Plans after that in no particular order:
    [STRIKE][STRIKE]bath[/STRIKE][/STRIKE]
budget - can't, as diary with budget details is in workbag - at work!
[STRIKE][STRIKE]food shopping (need to decide where we are going)[/STRIKE][/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE][STRIKE]plastic recycling[/STRIKE][/STRIKE]
school stuff - to-do list first so I can prioritise
    DS2 homework - WIP
phone restaurant in Germany for quote
[STRIKE][STRIKE]tea[/STRIKE] just need to clear away and stick DW on[/STRIKE]
laundry WIP - nearing completion, [STRIKE]but must remember to make up beds with clean bedding.[/STRIKE]

I also managed a few other jobs this afternoon. Kettle and iron are de-scaled, water filter scrubbed and new cartridge inserted so the kettle will stay nice. I also tried out the coffee maker I bought a few weeks ago and put it away afterwards. :T
Tonight I've researched our trip to Nottingham next Saturday. DS1 is going to see My Chemical Romance, so DS2 and I will go for a wander, have tea and maybe find a cinema. I know the route, have estimate times and found car parks, cinemas and shopping centres. :D It should be a nice start to the half-term break. DH is staying at home.
