Molly....Thanks love. I dont look at respite as it would cause DS so much stress it wouldnt be restful for anyone. I dont think respite works well in general for many autistic kids due to the routine etc changing and change in food etc. DS cant even do a holiday with us:o....will only go to the farm cottage we go to evry year as it is like home for him and we still have to make the same food as we would at home...no going to cafe/restaurants.
RE facebook.....i am always looking at peoples photos:p if people dont want photos looked at then dont put them on;)0 -
Big Hugs NPM - not surprising that sometimes it all seems too much - most of the time you sound like superwoman - something has to give occasionally. You do a great job!
Julie - how awful for your friend - must seem like the end of her known world.
Hester, I'd love some raised beds this year, but neither of us are at all practical, so would probably have to pay someone - does it involve a lot of work?
Busy day today - Sundays I always seem to be playing catch-up. DS discharged from hospital last night, and will be returning home later on. Must admit hospital visiting seems to take up so much time - and leaves me exhausted.
Oh well - WM nearly finished and DW well on the way. Need to check on the bread situation. Have already spent time trying to sort out the paperwork in the bureau - loads thrown in recycling bin, masses shredded - and the lid still doesn't close properly!
Hope you all have a good day.Resolution:

Right im back,
It was twin two that had woken up. She wonted a wee. Twin one and my wife are still asleep. Twin two is sat down here with me.
The washing machine will be on most of the day here today. Also other bits of tidying to be done.
Iv got a couple of Garden catts to have a look at. Re seeds and that. Also we have quite a bit of recorded T.V. to have alook at. Im hopeing to have an hours kip in my chair aswell if i get the peace,
A strange thing seem to happen in out house as soon as i close my eyes my wife starts taking. She can be sat here for hours and not say a word to me then i shut my eyes and she starts:eek:
NPM I hope that you have a better day today.
Well have agood day everyone:j:j:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -
Molly - sounds like she's not really a friend - so delete her. I would!
NPM - Where are you in the country - can I help at all? I'm in N Yorkshire! My 6 yr old is a bit like this, but has settled recently - possibly due to him not being well, and being shattered all the time.
Did all the ironing last night to catch up on it. Today will be cleaning and tidying the house. Dinner will be leftovers from the fridge and Seven Seas Tonic for the children (fed up with them being at home). Just to cover myself - am sure that other tonics are available!!!!!
Have to whizz round today - but the weather is not great outside - low cloud (we're in the hills) or fog around and nasty weather. YUK Really want to get out in the garden and start doing things, but no chance as yet. Also need to make a meal planner today for the remainder of Feb, so that we don't waste money. Can't believe I spent £20 yesterday, just getting in some essentials (OK I did get a bottle of wine for £4) and I did get a new wash basket and some over the door hooks (that was £5). Costs of food have REALLY gone up - and its not just the TV telling me that. Portions in this family will have to get a bit smaller then - luckily OH and I have a few extra inches to lose!
Have a great day people - OS or not. Love to Nic2lou and NPM xxxMe, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx
March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.0 -
Good Morning All
(((NPM)))
Molly - wouldn't worry, I always look at peoples photo's.
Thank you for all your kind comments yesterday, will be phoning my Dad in a while see how he is doing and if he has spoken to my cousins yet-left them alone yesterday.
Windy here again but still mild. DS has boxing this morning so OH & I will be killing 2 hours in Chelmsford. Think will chill in Starbucks for a while, ignore most of the shops and just get a couple of things that I need.
Have roast chicken today, from when M&S had Oakham chickens on special. Need to menu plan for the rest of the week too. Have only a little ironing to clear :j
Thats it for today I think, have a lovely Sunday.x0 -
Hugs NPM - you do so much and cope so well so a mini meltdown is only to be expected. Have you thought about some respite for DS? I used to work at a respite centre and the children always had such fun. Hugs to you. That cake looked lovely by the way - I had a look on Facebook x
Please can anyone enlighten me to Facebook etiquette as Im a bit upset this morning as one of the my so called face book friends has accused me of stalking them because I looked at her pictures. Is this not allowed?
DS2 had a lovely day yesterday. As part of his xmas present i paid for him to go to cookery school for the day and he made loads of lovely goodies so no baking needed here for a few days. Today i have to organise some cleaning as no cleaner this week:(
Hope you all have a lovely day xx
Re facebook.
There is an app that you can get that tells you who has been looking at your photos. I dont have it ,
Your friend must have this app. So they know that you have been looking. But if you dont what people to look then why put them up there in the first place???
I would seed your friend an msg. That says. Sorry for looking at your phots. I will not be doing it agin. I would sujest that from now on you dont put any phots up on facebook as you clearly dont what people to look at them.
Be as nasty as you wont.
For some gain (i dont know what) she is being funny about to looking at them.
Hope that helps:)
Remember if ya dont wont people to look at it then dont put it up:p:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -
Morning all
Hugs to those that need them especially NPM
Molly41 - if your 'friend' doesn't want people looking at the photos they should either not post them or change their settings so they can only be seen by certain people.
Looks like another windy/gusty day here, came back from a local concert last night and there were lights and men on the main road - I think they were dealing with a fallen branch. Also lots of trees and debris everywhere. Had to climb over a large fallen tree on the canal towpath while walking yesterday - did email British Waterways about it....didn't know what else to do
Definitely need WM today as didn't do any after all yesterday. Making chicken tagine for dinner with some veg (not yet sure what). Have general cleaning to do, and some studying and some bits to price and photo for listing on eBay.
Hope everyone had a good Sunday.

Morning and Hugs to all,
Slept better last night but still worrying about my redundancy. Had a look on some job websites this morning and found one that actually suited me. As I havent got a CV together yet I just rattled off a quick email.
My darling old dog has picked up slightly, she slept all day yesterday but got up this morning and ate her breaky laced with medicine and is now asleep on the settee again.
Dont know whats for dinner yet, I may have to consolt Nigel Slater and see what he recommends!!
