Hi, thought I saw a thread on here once about cheap potato recipes but can't seem to find it now. If there is one can someone post me the link or if I dreamt it up can anyone post their cheap potato recipes (mains or side dishes)
Thanks
p.s. not to be cheeky but if you do post a recipe could you try and put weights and times and stuff because I'm rubbish at cooking so need specifics lol
Thanks againMummy to two beautiful girls and one gorgeous boy.0 -

Ok, so I nnormally buy a bag of Tesco Value spuds every 2 weeks as I dont know if anyone else finds, but I can get at least one if not two servings of decent sized baked tatties out of it for me any my bf.
Problem is with whats left. Ok, wedges, mash (when feeling up to it) and boiled have all happened but I would love to make that nice creamy stuff you get some times when (not that i have much recently) your out at a nice meal. Think its called gratin, but not sure? Does anyone have a moneysaver recipe? or something else i could make with me spuds??
Thank you in advance:D0 -
Slice them nice and thin, slice some onions, layer them in turn in an oven proof dish, pour some single cream over and around them, put a bit of grated cheese on the top and bake in a medium oven until soft. Gorgeous but probably not good for the waistline!0

Hi Feef,
I use Delia's recipe for these: Gratin Daupinois. Her recipe for Potatoes Boulangere is delicious too.

hiya
when you bake spuds next time put a few more in to cook, then scoop middles out to get mash ( by mashing with milk and butter etc) and skins ( drizzle with oil then fill with cheese, bacon, onions etc )for little or no effort.
i love this, and it's really really easy!
