The whole thing is a bit out of hand, though I confess to occasionally having a chuckle at some of the ghoulsih and anti-ghoulish posts responsible for this situation.

Goodness. Well, thanks very much. Your inferral (sic) is incorrect, however. I am certainly NOT a c_&_u character. And I've never sockpuppeted. Obviously I would say that, right?

Seriously, one ridiculously-named forum posting identity is enough for me. I personally find the GHOUL_ISH_NESS mildly amusing, a little irritating, and now a bit dull.

Also, such silliness can undermine the overall integrity of the forum. And it arguably is doing so.

HOWEVER! Despite my initial agreement to RenovationMan's proposal, I do not think that having a 100 post minimum on these otherwise less-than-thrilling boards (sorry @ Martin Lewis) before having access to this eccentric/wacky subforum is a good idea whatsoever.

Such draconian measures would really limit the diversity and accessibility of a place that is already somewhat (if not entirely) hidden from view and would effectively mitigate its usefulness in its role as a discussion forum.

So I'm an awkward fence-sitting undecided !!!!!!. I think something could be done, and I think I suggested an invite system on the site feedback forum... though if that's not properly implemented it too would be open to just the same abuse and silly shenanigans.

It's a toughie, f'sure.
