Sat/Sun 5th/6th February - What small DFW things will you be doing today?!

oh and no gas on again since last night - it appears to not be working again. I think I need to get darn boiler serviced. I have to keep climbing up to attic to either re-set it or if its being particularly naughty, to release some of the air lock in it Starting to not feel entirely safe with it now though even if saving a packet.DFW 228 LONG H 68
DFD 2017 :eek:0 -
Hello :hello:,
I haven't been posting this week, but have been watching all your antics- at really odd, silly hours, when unable to sleep :eek: as I have been in the US for work reasons.
Not very MS :eek: all in all, but will have to sort out expenses once my brain is back in gear - not sure when that will be though, as I have had no sleep at all for about 36 hours
Also I am bound to have put back on the few pounds I have lost since Christmas (and more besides) given the strange diet :eek: - I am sure they DO have vegetables in the US, but not where I was staying :think:
I asked for a salad on one occasion, but it came drenched in a gloopy, really sweet dressing that set my teeth on edge:eek:
And even if you ask for the 'small' size of something, it still tends to be a lot bigger than you would see over here! And don't even get me started on the expectations for tipping just about everybody - which I am not allowed to claim back on expenses :eek:
It is great to be home (never wanted to be a jetsetter lol) :j
The upshot is though, I managed to completely miss the weekend :mad: - I did not arrive back till around lunchtime today. I have been desperately trying to stay awake until a reasonable 'bed time' as I am back to work tomorrow :eek: though working at home at least, and not back in to the office till Tuesday
Good night :wave:0 -
Phew, DawnW, how exhausting that all sounds! Have a good night's sleep tonight. I always find that travelling eastwards is easier jetlag-wise so hopefully you'll get into a better routine soon
Night night!

I've got one too, seemed like a good idea at the time as figured I'd save money on swimming/gym. Have been out a few times but only just got the bike before the bad weather hit so not as much as I'd have liked (wanted to beat the VAT rise). Thankfully mine's only £17/month (work in public sector so not sure of job security past April and didn't want to get a more expensive one and end up with - god forbid the worst happens - a huge chunk of my final salary paying for the bike!)
Quite a few people at work are really worried about it as they went for very expensive bikes and didn't realise (or read the T&C) that any remaining money (full cost - not with tax/ni relief) would be taken off their last pay if they leave/are made redundant.Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Debt free & determined to stay that way!0 -
Hi all, been ages since I've been on here but time to focus the mind again!
Made my own soup, hash browns, and veg chilli today for freezing;
Cleaned the car at home yesterday rather than going to the car wash;
Won free concert tickets on Facebook;
Booked work travel and hotel through Quidco and will earn £9 cashback as a result;
Completed a Valued Opinions survey and I'm £14 in credit
Will take the soup into work this week for lunches, and also bought multipack cans rather than having to rely on paying 69p a time in the canteen.Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0
