Sat/Sun 5th/6th February - What small DFW things will you be doing today?!
Comments
-
Hi, Can I ask what you mean by surveys? I notice a couple of people have mentioned it. I am really trying the DFW way, so am looking at all possibilities.
Thanks.0 -
Hi everyone - sorry haven't been on the thread for ages but have some news I just have to share.
I just paid off the last £60 left lurking on a credit card and am now officially free of all my Credit Card debt. :j
I'm not officially debt free as I still have my student loans to pay back, but while I'm only working part time I'm not worrying about them at the moment.
Thanks so much for all the support and tips this small things thread has given me over the last couple of years, L xx
Woooo well done Lurleene:beer: (it's millyscarlett here, just got a new name;)) - well done on the cc debt gone!!!
To be honest I have student loan debt but I don't earn enough to pay it back yet (never have earned enough!) - I don't regard it as debt, it's only repayable once you earn enough and then only a percentage taken...that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it anyway:rotfl:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Woo hoo, washing nearly done and dusted upstairs already -I am goodNo you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!
Thanks to everyone who posts competitions. You are the stars of the board :T:j:T0 -
DNMS - Sorry to hear about your rubbish week
I hope you feel on track again soon!
I got up this morning to the worst kitchen! OH has boys nighy on fridays and they take it in turns to cook for eachother. Last night was cheese fondue!! There is melted cheese and breadcrumbs everywhere!!!!! OH will be sorting it later!
Och sounds like DH will have his work cut out..Yesterday I yanked myself to the veggie garden which was a good job because it was sunny but cold and I had the gas for the hob....
But then having gotten up @ silly o'clock by 3pm I was exhausted and somehow missed my pm nap so like was 'out of it' for the rest of the evening. What I'm going to do about this crazeee sleep pattern I have no idea ..It's not like generally I'm not getting enough sleep - just the wrong times...:(
So like evening routine doesn't get done - well actually NOTHING gets done in the evening cos I'm in the land of z (or not far off)..
On the positive DFW front I did only spend £1 yesterday which is not to be scoffed at - even though they had stuff for making home made menstrual pads (my version. It's on amazon) half price in Mr S....
So yeah...anyone any bright ideas on how to fix this wonky sleep pattern....Basically it's going to bed about 6.30pm and averaging getting up at 4.30am - sometimes 4 or earlier...

Well I'm officially rubbish!:D Yesterday I ended up going to DD's for a couple of hours and out to DS3's kickboxing presentation evening so not enough hours in the day to do my list!
Must be more organised today! Will update later, stitchy xMaking magic with fabricLight travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.0 -
Morning everyone, thanks Determind for starting us off - sorry to hear you've had a bad few days. Think Erme's suggestion of a pj day is excellent! Enjoy your night out with OH.
Well, for me today...
[STRIKE] Check bank accounts[/STRIKE]
Do meal plan for next week
[STRIKE] Try to get some essay writting done:( not going at all well so far
Sort out Frugal spreadsheet - CW18 has very kindly added an extra sheet for me to separate out my pet costs which is great - now just need to go and split up all the spends for Jan!
Washing x 3 (1 load in)
Hang up to air[/STRIKE]
Ironing/housework
[STRIKE] Pop to pet shop for cat food (was supposed to be in Weds & went & didn't have it - 16 miles fuel down the drain):(....
Take dog to beach as on way to pet shop [/STRIKE]
Think that's about it for now - have a good day everyone
Getting there! Still need to get really stuck into my essays:( (I'm always like this and will sit down and manage to write them all when it comes to the deadline).
Going to go to Sunday market to see what the fruit/veg is like - hope it's considerably cheaper & also going to pop into farm shop (on way to market) to see if they do a "box".
More walks with the dog of course!
Bit damp and dull here:(, have a great day everyone.
Erme - the only thing I can suggest is to try to adjust your sleep pattern slightly every few days ie go to bed @ 6:45 for a couple of days, move it to 7 for few days etc - once you've got to say an hour leave for a few more days to make sure that's stuck and then go for the next hour. Will take a while (not sure if this is an issue work wise?) but may be the best way to make it stick.
Stitchy - no you're not! You had a good day with your children which is far more important than any list in the world!Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
2016 Sell: £125/£250
£1,000 Emergency Fund Challenge #78 £3.96 / £1,000Vet Fund: £410.93 / £1,000
Debt free & determined to stay that way!0 -

I've had a pig of a week. Been busy or out every night this week plus work is really pressured. So I can really identify with you DNMS. :grouphug: It's been so bad that my gentleman friend and I went to the cinema on Wednesday (Orange Wednesday) to watch little Fockers and I fell asleep!!!
Lucky you, I've got 2 weeks to go and no inset in sight.:wall:
Today I have- Checked banking, looks like I can get through the month providing I'm careful And may be able to pay off my Egg card in full at the end of the month
- Surveys none
- Done a huge pile of paperwork including scanning for car insurance renewal and finally sorting out the transfer of my old pension into teacher's pension. It's only taken me 6 years done
- Written a shopping list done
Later I will- Go shopping done
- Clean flat apart from hoovering and kitchen floors, I'll do those tomorrow done but did it on Sunday morning
- Have a sleep done
- Write the assignment for my year 12 BTEC class Not done I didn't email myself the draft version I wrote on Friday so rather than start again I'll go in early tomorrow and get it done
- Update the CEIAG policy that I've written as the head wants me to big myself up more  done
When I'm tired I overeat, no idea how I can get past that one, too tired to sort it out. Where's the toast?
Hope everyone who needs a hug gets one. Virtual ones available here :grouphug:
Thanks for the TLC DNMS definitely needed, glad I gave you a giggle
Today I'm going to- Ring the opticians as I've found out that work will not only pay for my test but they'll pay for my glasses as well.
So I need to get a copy of the receipt for my test as it's £50 for my test that will go nicely towards a cc
- Hoover and do floors
- Gentleman friend is coming over to spend the afternoon with me. Time for some time alone as the lodger is away for the weekend
- Hoover and floors
- Cook something nice for tea and try not to stuff my face all day. I need to get back on track, my coat is feeling tight.
Hope everyone has a good day - lovely to hear everyone's good news, especially people who've paid off debts but my poor old brain isn't retaining info today so can't remember who it was0 - Checked banking, looks like I can get through the month providing I'm careful And may be able to pay off my Egg card in full at the end of the month

Thanks.
I daresay there's a thread or two on the subject which will give you a much better answer than I can, but there are websites that you can register with - such as yougov or Valued Opinions. They invite you to take part in online surveys for which they pay a small fee.
Its not a lot, and quite often you find that you don't meet the qualifying criteria for that particular survey, but over time it does mount up.Debt free since December 2015. It can be done0 -
Morning all!
I did absolutely no school work yesterday and had a rest instead but now I have loads to do today. Feel better for it though.
Already taken the dog to the windswept and wet park - it was lovely to watch all the dogs that had been cooped up all day yesterday going mad, playing and running and barking. Blew the cobwebs away too.
Today's list....- SCHOOL WORK!!!!
- Pop to inlaws for a quick visit
- Make tea from stores
- One load of washing
- Have a quick tidy around
- Marking later
- Taken £20 out of the cashpoint to last until Friday
