just got a text from my parents...
the 2-3 days diving/sight seeing in egypt have been replaced with israel which they're not happy about.
their luggage has been lost!! my dad is soooo sensible about these things so they have enough basic clothes to do one wash and toiletries and be okay, but they took most of their nice/expensive clothes and shoes and they've all been lost! and the phone chargers! and they're not sure if they will get any compensation/insurance

I dont think Egypt or israel are safe at the moment. An gas pipeline from egypt to israel was blown up this morning (our time) Both of these countys have a peace deal with each other. After thay had a very bloody war about 40 odd eyars ago. Israel are worried that the change in Govermnet there might be trouble for them as they might not stand by the peace deal. High ranking people in the country have said that any new govetment will stand by the peace deal. The whole area is a hot pot bubbleing away at the moment. There are lot of people from all over the world working behind the sences to try and sort things out.

I hope your Mum and Dad can get there things back or aleast some compo to replece them.
What country are they in a the moment?

now why could i not find that, i did look.

I did think it might be something to do with that lot. They were in birmingham a few months ago. Also In dudley town center a few months ago. Dudley town is about 5 miles away. We have taken the twins to the zoo there on the bus.

I hope that there is no trouble there today and that no one gets hurt.

They are only a few in number. We are lucky that the vast number of people in this country are agenst them and there marchies. Unlike in some countrys were peopel are afaid to go to sleep in there own beds because of people with extream points of view.

Rosie i hope that your family has a lovley day spending time together at home.
Try to think of today as a family time together, a few hours out from your busy everyday lives.

Jordan at the minute I think. They tried to cancel when the trouble in egypt started but the company wouldn't allow it.

Afternoon Everyone, had a bit of a lie in this morning. Woke up early and then dozed but feel that I have had a good night's sleep. Been out to a few shops this morning for supplies - the prices have fair gone up and diesel is £1.30!!! I did treat myself to a new pair of pjs from primark for my oz trip and some new undies too. That made me sort out my undie drawer. Why do I keep so many pairs of worn out pants?!

Washing on airers, dw been on and emptied, fire lit and am having 5 mins before I go to the bank, Ernie sent me a cheque for £25 so will pay that in.

Welcome to newbies and hugs to all not feeling so good, take care. XX

I would love to vist that area or the world. But by wife dont like the heat. She got heart stroke when she was a kid in spain and its sort of put her off. She also burns very easy. Were i just go brown, she goes bright red then peels and goes back to normal. Oh and it also hurts her loads.

    Maybe one day

Im sure that your mom and dad will be fine. The company will not risk any of there customers. They will be takeing advise from our Gov.

There are wuite a few Uk people in Egypt at the moment. On the seaside places far away from were the trouble is and they have been on the news saying that they intend to stay

  • Afternoon everyone!

Busy Busy day today... so only just got online.

Adelight I hope everything works out well for your parents. It's not nice when a relaxing trip turns into such a mess x

((Hugs)) for those who need them today!

Well I have been busy since leaving work yesterday... I made 4 loaves of No-Knead bread last night while the boys watched the Rugby, some of which we had with breakfast this morning.

This morning I have made 4 batches of (knead) bread and froze 3 batched. Also made some lentil and chicken soup, and have 4 portions to freeze for my lunches at work!

I have played chess with my son and taught his friend how to play. About to go out to the park but it's very grey and VERY windy here!

I still need to make 3 batches of rock cakes for school day snacks, before making HM Goujions and wedges for dinner!!!

Seems I have a full day of baking this weekend... tomorrow there is more!

Hope you all have a great day x
