Jackie, hope you are feeling better yourself. Thanks to all who sent me good wishes. x
Roll the pill in some Pate - it seems to work very well as its nice and smelly and hides the tablet smell! Hope she is better soon!Saving in my terramundi pot £2, £1 and 50p just for me! :j0 -

Wet here am glad I got most of my washing done yesterday, it had almost dried by the time I got it in, so a night on the airer should have sorted it, will put it away in a while, ready for the next load.
Quick hoover round and that will be us sorted, dd has to go into school for some extra studying, so will drop her at the station.
Dinner tonight is meatballs with sauce and spaghetti. So nice and easy.
Will go up and see dad later on, will be so glad to have him home, even if its for a while.
I got a lovely PM yesterday from someone who has lurked for years, I wont name names, but please do come and post, we are a lovely lot xx

Morning all
Welcome marmitepotato - we're a friendly bunch on here!
Nasty looking grey cloud and still very windy but dry underfoot.
Had awful nights sleep, had lovely dinner and chilled Chardonnay, hot shower, watched a bit of tv in my pjs, then fell asleep on the sofa after the rugby had finished. Woke up at 1.30am went to bed, and surprise surprise I couldn't get back to sleep, so at 2.30am came back downstairs, made a hot drink and watched tv, think I'm going to be shattered later. My mind was in overdrive don't know why, every so often I have these nights where I just can't sleep - hey ho.
Did get my bum into gear yesterday afternoon, changed our bed and got bedding washed, dried and in airing cupboard, also made 2 doz mince pies, 2 doz cupcakes, and 2 doz hob nob biscuits (woops, just had to re-type my spelling of hob nob!!) Will be putting the BM on shortly, will also get the cupcakes iced ready for pack-ups or any visitors we may get over the weekend. Dinner tonight will be roast chicken, roasties, mash, veg, yorkshires and gravy. We're having roast today instead of tomorrow as DS2 has away rugby match in the morning and in the afternoon we have to take my car over to the garage so they can start work on it on Monday. The garage is the next village along from where grandad lives so we will go over to see him whilst we're that way.
DH wasn't working today but came in last night and had been asked to go and help out this morning, he had to be in for 7.30am, don't know what time he will be back - but he doesn't like to turn down the work especially with the economic situation the way it is.
Did food shopping yesterday came to rather more than I wanted to pay but did buy several items for "stock" that I would buy that were on offer, hoping to do some cooking/baking etc as have Mon and Tues off this week to use up last of my holiday. So finished work Wednesday lunchtime, will go back Wednesday for half a day, then I'll be on days off until the following Monday!
Not much else to say really, keep safe and well everyone, hugs to those that need them.

:bdaycake: Poppy-dog Don't panic, I have a big one in August 50% greater than yours :rotfl::rotfl:
:hello: marmitepotato don't worry we are gentle with everyone here, anyone who is not soon feels the boot of the rest of us.;)
I will not mention the weather, some friends here booked a week in Fuerteventura, as the forecast was not good for this week, and then it changed and all I will say is
, and offer my sympathies for the wet and windy stuff you are getting. DS & GF are on an Outward Bound sort of thingy near Leyburn, North Yorks., for a mates 30th. They were not impressed in the first place and the weather has probably not improved their thoughts much either. Forecast very wet and windy there all weekend.:eek:
Had a rough night Thursday night, no real reason, and it is such a rare event, didn't get phased by it, just had a nod in the afternoon (sat in the sun) Went to bed a little earlier last night and slept through, so could have been as we ate a little later than normal.
Jackie-G & NPM nice to see you both posting again, have a dodgy hug :grouphug:
Just a(nother) lazy day planned for today, the WM is on, and may do a second load later. Still have mount ironing to face, but my right arm has been giving me GBH but is now on the mend, so will wait for a cloudy day
:rotfl: :rotfl::rotfl: :eek:

Morning all!
Welcome Marmite potato...... hope your wee dog better soon.
NPM, glad you had a better week, hope you manage to figure out some food your ds will eat!
Hugs to all who need or want them.
Strange day for us here. Usually if dh is off at the weekend, he wil be out and about, go out with the kids, or I do while he is watching footie.
Today....... we are Muslims, live in Luton......need I say more?
We knew this was coming so having a 'fun' stay at home day. Making cous cous with some beef for lunch, HM fried chicken and chips for tea.
Gonna bake with the kids and probably manage a few games of 'Uno'. best buy I think I ever made. 10p at the car boot, we all love playing it and get so competitive. The first person to win 3 games gets something from the others. Eg, I normally give DD1 £2 a week for cleaning her room, but if she wins I do the room and she still gets her £2. It's great craic!
Have a good day all whatever you do.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...

Good Morning chums,a quiet morning here hopefully ,not a lot to do.I have already hoovered round and tidied upand house looked fairly respectable. After lunch I am off to Dartford to visit my friend, she asked me to dinner then we are going to a quiz night tonight which I am looking forward to. Tomorrow I shall be with the DGC in the afternoon,we have lots of board games ,at the moment they are keen on scrabble witch I think is excellant as it helps them to spell and think at the same time. Mikey was a little sweetheart yesterday and no trouble when he had his tooth out.Apparently nowadays the dentist keeps them so he was a bit worried about the tooth fairy not knowing where his chopper was.:)But they gave him a small envelope for him to leave under his pillow and hopefully the tooth fairy will have come in the night and left a little something for him
:)
Right I'm off to sort out some coffee and odds and ends I want to take with me to my friends house
have a good weekend everyone
Cheers JackieO0 -
Morning all!
not caught up on the threads yet, shall do that later, I've got to go into town to pay some bills in a minute and am going to find some cheap new bedsheets to match the new duvet cover i purchased the other day. I wonder if primark or Wilkinsons will be my best bet?
We are supposed to be going out with OH's parents tonight for a little drinky poos, i think i shall stay sober though.
Lots of walking to do today to make up for the not so great eating from yesterday. (scales have been kind me though!)
Dinner tonight is HM burgers with coleslaw and salad (no bun) for me and good ol' burger and chips for OH. If the mince defrosts in time.
Got to wash about 6 loads of clothes this weekend and tidy the house and little animals.
Will check in later
hugs to all humans and furries!
