  • Was a good feeling this morney paying £100 into my current account, a little bit chipped off my OD. I have been putting £25 each week into an envelope & when i save £100 i will pay it in.

However, was shocked that my OD is very close to £1,700, know it is because i have not been sticking to using cash and i have not been keeping my spending diary updated so intend to get back on track. Also, have removed my Debit card from my purse, if i do not have it on my person i will not be able to use it!

Today should be a LSD as i am up to my eyes in housework, i have cleaned and tidied downstairs, now having a cup of tea before i tackle upstairs.

  • Today was my first NSD for a while, ordered my grocery shopping on line last night, have stuck to my meal planner. Has been a dry day so have spent it tidying the garden, looks much neater now.

Took the dog for a long walk this morning with the DC, am looking at ways to keep busy that do not involve shopping !!

Cooking pasta for tea, going to use up the mushrooms and smokey bacon that were left from breakfast, intend to make garlic bread as have a french stick that i never used yesterday, will crisp up okay in the oven :)

  • Been so low in mood today for no reason and have done nothing but snap at the children since i collected them from school.

Little things get me down and every day is like groundhog day even having to do the housework feels like a major chore and i am so fed up of cooking meals and then clearing away, i am constantly chasing my tail.

Then i feel guilty and selfish for being miserable over nothing, so many more people have majour problems, Christ look at all that devastation in Japan at the moment. Here am i low for no reason, need to give myself a kick up the bottom.

  • Just a quickie, ladies and gents, to say well done to everyone :) It sounds like you are all soooo normal to me, and doing so well. The amount of people in debt (and suffering) is very very normal now, I feel, its important to be supportive to each other. I've admired for about a year now, those of you who publically announce debts and issue on the forum and wanted to say thank you for your support - by being on this site your making it normal to stat how much debt your in.
Like wise i wanted to share how am getting a bit of money here and there - am going voucher crazy at the moment, and making sure i get the value points on everything i buy. My favourite place over the past month has been a local cash for your clothes place which has given me the odd handful of cash for a bag or three of old clothes.
Well, here goes nothing....... my debts (for the first time documented all together in public!)....... drum roll......

    Debt
500 over draft (have saved 350 toward it) - due to pay off this june
0 credit card (first time in a long time)
1300 car loan 1 (due to pay off come dec 2011)
8000 car loan 2 (for some reason i thought this was a good idea.....)
15000 student debt (pay off every month around 150 from my wages until i retire!)

Believe it or not, this is a much better place than I've been. Have been working hard to make sure i break even every month . . this might mean little food budget, but am getting there thanks to family and my fantastically understanding boyfriend. Hang in there people - were getting there bit by bit :)
  • Hello to you both & thank you for your replies!! I hope we can support each other and share some valuable debt busting tips :j

Is that right about the money for bags of old clothes? Only i had a flyer put through the door a few weeks ago about that but thought it was a scam so binned it

I hope you both find this forum a big help, i felt low all day but following Pennywise advice, feel better following a relaxing soak (ipod playing so i could ignore kids bickering!) and have poured a nice glass of wine. Anyway, it was good for someone to kindly read my woes & advise, hope you both benefit too.
