You don't need to know any more about computers than you do already, as you are managing to post perfectly well. :T

To learn about the various challenges that go on on this site, you could have a read of this thread in the main DFW (Debt Free Wannabee) forum:
Debt-Free Wannabee's Newbie Guide: Challenges, Honour Roll, Nerds and Where to start!

There's also a separate thread with a List of Challenges for 2011. Both these threads are 'Sticky' which means they'll always stay at the top of the forum - so they are easy to find and you can have a browse through them whenever you like.

Not such a bad day, never spent alot but did forget i owed work colleague £10 for the bonus ball, i almost said i would give up my number as i have only won once but know if i did my number would then come up EVERY week!! Plus half the winnings goes to charity so it would be mean of me...

Just called in to wish you good luck and congratulations on taking the first steps!

It would help people to help you if we had an idea of how much you have to spend per week or per month after your essential bills (mortgage/rent, council tax etc) are paid. Then we could give ideas of how to cut it back. Some people post a full SOA (Statement of Affairs) but I don't know how to do that.

May I ask if these are your personal debts or shared with OH? So are we looking at two incomes paying them off or just from your job?

    Hope you feel better soon.
  • Hi, No my Debts are completely my own doing. My DH is supportive but cannot help me fianancially to clear the mess i am in, my aunt has been my huge help. I can & WILL pay off these debts.

  • Spent the afternoon tidying the garden with my 3 chooks eating the worms!! Had a LSD, just had to pay the milkman (£8.25) and popped the Friday £10 into my sealed pot. Oh, and found 20p in glove compartment so that has gone into the money box of £2 coins &20p pieces. Hope you all had a LSD too.

  • Have just plucked up the courage to apply for a 0 % CC on line with the intention to transfer my overdraft & Mint CC (also intend to put my Next directory balance on OD, so i can pay that too)

Anyway, it says i have been accepted but does not tell me my credit limit, so if my limit does not cover my debts it will be useless, i really hope that i can do my balance transfers as when i look into how much interest i pay on MINT it makes me feel faint!!
