Its not good to wash those.:rotfl:. Also because I do my grandparents washing, if tissues are left in the pockets its a bl:mad::mad:dy nitemare mess!Whether we win or lose, that we played at all was a winning decision.2011 wins £12,2922012 wins ...Thank you to all who post on here!!!! :A0 -
Living without a washing machine has made me appreciate how little things need washing. Pants, socks one wear. Tees a couple jumpers till there dirty jeans only if they get properly dirty. We just can't wash any more than that and really most people don't NEED to wash as much as they do! Its such a waste of energy, water and no one seems to have noticed. (belive me my mum would tell me if I smell.) unless you do a job where you get smelly or dirty then I think its worth asking if you really need to wash stuff.
As for ironing!?! Unless you wear a suit to work, why on earth would you bother!0 -
oh and sanitary towels, used to wear them now I use a mooncup. Light days, heavy days it takes them all0

I don't look like I slept in my clothes either. About ten minutes after wearing anything any creases have dropped out anyway.
I just think its so wasteful to wash and iron stuff that doesn't need it. I think its crazy but what ever floats your boat.0 -

Depends what your definition of "doesn't need it " is I suppose. I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting to feel clean and well groomed. I don't pay that much attention to what other people are wearing and I don't think I'm particularly vain but I do like to feel clean. The one thing I really dislike is seeing women walking about with filthy hair.0 -

:rotfl:That's why I made it clear I was talking about the cloth ones!
DD rooted around in her pocket for a tissue the other day and found one that'd been through the wash :mad:They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.0 -
To you maybe, but here's my logic.;)
I wear cotton pants, like most everyday pants they have a double thickness gusset, the outside of them doesn't get wet, so why would I need to change my jeans after one wear - and, for that matter, what if I was out for the whole day, surely my jeans would start to smell halfway through the day... do I need an overnight bag for work?
That's why we wear pants ( eell most of us do!!) imho , a shower in the morning would be enough to keep 90% of us smelling fine all day, of the other 10%, most would be cured with deodorant. There are a few people who have problems with excessive sweating, I'd agree they need to change their clothes more regularly.:)
It's not the dead skin cells rotting ( otherwise that dusty shelf would be really smelly) it's the bacteria that builds up on skin in sweaty places, as the day go on they multiply... hence people change their undies every day and T shirts every day, but can wear their trousers a bit longer.;)
I honestly thought that the rotting skin cells smelled themselves, and acted as food for the bacteria and the warmth and damp of our bodies were a great environment for them to breed and multiply.
It's not that I think other people should do as I do, but I do believe that my jeans are more up close and personal with a hot sweaty smelly part of me than most of my tops are. I feel as if my groin is a smellier area than my armpit because it has other smelly functions besides sweating! That's why I do what I do.0 -

You'd hate me lol, my hair takes me over an hour to wash and sort out I don't have time to do that more than once a week at the most.
I think wanting to be clean for more than just a feeling is verging on OCD. I used to change my clothes more shower more etc than I do now (i've never ironed) but then when I had to live without a washing machine for so long i've realised its totally unnecessary to wash stuff all the time.
