the letter said to bring my notes. i dont have any at the mo.the MW has them and i was told i will get them at the scan. i have no idea how they do things!! i just have that scan letter and a stupid form that i filled that requested a passport?? weird! so you recommend doing the nuchal test too, as we have a choice not to go for that right? is it just via the scan and a blood test?
A passport? strange! If they have you on the NHS already why would they need a passport? Unless there is a strange plague of identity theft for NHS purposes near where you live :D

I don't think anyone can say whether or not you should have the nuchal test. My MW put down in my notes at my book-in appointment when she booked the scan that I would have it (she did ask though). I guess you could say at the scan itself if you decided not to have it then. I think some trusts may do the other test slightly later on but mine was the nuchal + blood test. We decided to have the test even though if the result was high we'd not do any further tests and would continue with the pregnancy, because we would have the chance to prepare ourselves a bit and warn friends and family of the higher risk. If you're a worrier though... not sure it would be good for you to know! My letter came back 'low risk' (I was a bit disappointed they didn't give me the '1 in xxxx' risk, just 'low risk').

hmm maybe where i live that could be possibe - CROYDON. hahahaha am being silly. that is so weird though you are right! i know i will forget it but will ask DH to remind me just in case. i guess knowing the risk is good, so like you say one can prepare themselves. what else can you worry about hey? The pregnancy itself is a worry. sigh. :) i guess i would rather know than not you know otherwise will worry the other way. hehe..

the weird thing now, i keep getting so hungry. i want to just eat and eat. if i eat too much though, i feel so restless. sigh.

yeah you are right about the statistics, yet i am still scared you know? it was 6 weeks ago at 6 weeks that we saw a little heart beat. i hope all is ok. i just keep thinking that.

A friend of mine who is top dog midwife (so very clued up!) told me once a heartbeat is detected there is even less chance of a MC... its not 100% certain and for fear of being sued for medical malpractice they don't tell you that at scans etc but you are in with a good chance hun x

yay!! i wish i could really hug you!!!! i know i am being silly. and i am def bigger than before. :) now to think of it, last time when i had my mmc, i was the same weight and even though i had the nausea and fatigue, things symptom-wise are different now. :) am kind of trying to stop myself from getting too excited though. i do wonder how our baby will turn out - (the healthy bit taking priority by far first). you see i am Indian with dark skin and dark eyes and hubby is quite fair (pale should i dare write), blonde with beautiful blue eyes. ;) (he is half English/half Scottish). :) i am curious!

you see my appointment is at 9.20 so i have to wake up earlier

    - 9.20 is good, less chance they will be running late :) mine was at 9.10 :)

    - the folder should have been given to you at the booking appt and the notes come through in the post? Perhaps you needed a passport as you wasn't born in the uk? We had the nuchal in the end because the midwife told me even if you wouldn't abort its good to be prepared!

    Hope that helps!

you might be lucky and get the nice darkish skin but with the blue eyes which would be a striking combination! I'm also curious to see if baby gets my blue eyes, I got them from my mother, both her siblings had the same, as did her grandfather.

ahh i do hope our babies get his amazing blue eyes. they are beautiful compared to my boring dark brown eyes. would be good to see a combination of like olive skin with blue eyes? The only positive he has said is he is scared of us having daughters, as he would have to protect them from every man. haha...
so many people have said though the blonde and blue eyes genes are recessive though...:(
