Rups 1st time round, I loved smokers. I used to be one and really liked the smell. Obviously didn't get too close or smoke myself.
This time I am like you and can't go near them. EwwwwOverdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500

Rups, you can take the occasional dose of paracetamol. I'm not sure of the strength, the few times I've taken it I've just taken the normal strength ones you usually get from the supermarket, not the stronger ones.

The normal dose is fine (one tablet of normal paracetamol contains 500mg. The 'usual' does is two tablet, i.e. 1000mg), but if you feel you can get away with just the one, then take just one.
Aches and pains are part of pregnancy, rups. Try not to worry but do trust your instincts. You know it's not an ectopic so you can relax about that. One-sided pain's really common too. 90% of the pain I get I feel it on my right-hand side only. Who knows why? Just one of those things.
I also used to get pains when I walked, like my uterus wasn't supported properly. Some of these could be really quite sharp and prevented me walking properly. It's just your ligaments having a good old stretch/becoming less effective. It doesn't really get much better I'm afraid, but as your pregnancy progresses you do worry about it far less."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
thanks guy. yes i feel like everything is loose inside. its still here but relax now. at least i know something is happening rather than nothing right? i just had a catty go at DH. oops. poor thing. pains are all part if it, so must not worry.
had a bad headache so took 2 tablets of the 500mg. oops.
will remember to take one and see how that works. i have been good food-wise and really fancied a kit kat so asked a guy who always has a stash and i enjoyed a mars bar.

It won't hurt to take two. It's just recommended that you take the lowest effective dose. TBH, one paracetamol wouldn't touch the sides with me (I don't find it a great painkiller at the best of times) so I always take two.
Good for fever though. It always makes me feel better if I feel a bit fluey."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
i used to always take ibuprofen and nothing else but that worked. then i had to stop after the first pregnancy and i panicked that paracetamol wouldnt work, but luckily it does. phew.
. i feel the same about taking the 1 though.

I had a horrible viral infection when I was about 7 weeks, and was taking 1 paracetamol for horrific earache and a temperature of over 101f (your BBT makes a different noise if your temp goes over 100f, did you know?!). I went to the walk in centre and told the nurse what I was taking, and she basically slapped my wrist and told me that the most important thing was to keep my temperature down and it was no wonder I still had earache as 1 paracetamol wasn't going to do the job. So I took many paracetamol over the course of that week. I ended up with a sinus infection and burst eardrum, so I was on antibiotics in the end too - sometimes you just need the pills!0
