Been lurking for a few weeks as too scared to post in case I jinx it - all in my head I know!
I'm so sorry Abis and Cleofish to read your stories - sending big big hugs to you both.
I had an early scan this morning as I've been spotting since last weekend (2nd pregnancy, 1st ended in mmc last Nov). She could see the sac and fetal pole and thinks she could see a hb but couldn't be certain so I've another 2 week wait before a rescan which should be definitive as by then I'll be 8 weeks.
With what happened last year I am terrified and feel as though I'm in some kind of awful limbo. At the same time I know full well that there is nothing I can do and whatever will be, will be.

Hugs and best wishes to you all; one day we will have our take home babies x

All sounds really positive. It's not unusual to not be able to detect a hb at six weeks. I can understand how you feel though, but try to remember that it's all good news so far.

    hi saffagal.

hope you are ok. i know waiting is such a horrible game in our cases and no matter what we do, we have to go through it. :-( try and relax and think of the positive. we understand how you feel. it is a good atiitude to have about what will be will be. i am trying that to keep sane as what you say about us not being able to do much is true. we are all here for each other. think of something positive to keep you going...

its been a mega mad day at work... am much as i am trying to stay calm, the meetings have stressed me out. :( want to go home and just sleep.x

Hey lovelies. Hope your scan went well Cake4brains. :)

Yesterday, the doctors surgery got in touch as they had the results of the urine sample that I did for my midwife. They said that I have alot of white blood cells in my urine but no infection so I have to re-do the sample. I have no idea what that means as I know that white blood cells don't go into the kidneys/urine tract unless there is an infection so the fact that I don't have one is slightly worrying.

I got my scan date through the post today - 24th May, but it's really early in the morning (my chosen hospital is about 45 minutes away but it's the best in the area and we're in the middle of three different hospitals!) which would make it hard with the M.E so I'm going to have to change the time.

    Hi Lady M,

Throughout both my pregnancies there have been times when there are white blood cells in my urine. It has always been fine when checked. It may be something as simple as a cold. You might not even notice anything.

Most likely cause is an infection, but it could also be due to any type of inflammation. Both of these might be totally asymptomatic. If it persists, they might try to grow cultures from the sample to see if there's an infection which requires treating. Alternatively if you feel well, they might just do nothing and monitor it.

TBH, LM, you've got some particular healthcare needs what with your ME so there's all sorts of things in your pregnancy that might not be classed as 'normal', whilst being totally normal for you and nothing to fret about. You're in safe hands, try not to worry.

Scan was fantastic :j Saw 2 little wriggly babies with strong heartbeats. They are measuring 6.7cm and 6.8cm and my dates are correct.

great news cake4brains. yay! :j you must be so pleased. we are all pleased for you.. how many weeks are you?

ok i had a panic attack so decided to come on here asap.. some of you might say here she goes again, but i would rather post and look silly than not say anything and go mad. :(

i wanted to make some chips, and our oven is such a mess. no one cleans it unless i do so i had left it for ages, and DH hasnt bothered. so it has accumulated all this oil etc. when i turned on the oven to warm it up, i came back to the kitchen and stupidly opened the door. needless to say i inhaled lots of fumes that came out of the oven. and then i panicked and still am about how bad these are and whether they would affect the baby. i know i am going crazy.. help please? :0(
