Just been a busy bee again for a bit, I'm having a nice quiet jammy day catching up with 4OD and I player. I've been warned the last OBEM was a bit hairy so not sure if I should watch it lol.

Its been the hardest to watch so far - I cry at X-factor auditions so im not a great judge of what makes people weepy but the last episode has got to make even the hardest of heart wobble a littleBow Ties ARE cool "Just because you are offended, doesnt mean you are right" Ricky Gervais0 -

I just realised that I didn't change my due date on there - at my early scan they measured me a couple of days ahead so I was 7weeks instead of 6+4, and I spoke to the midwife yesterday and she thinks my EDD is 27th August too.
We are going to find out and I do have a sneaky preference for a girl, although I won't be sad if it's a boy, IYSWIM. My DH has a son already from a previous relationship, and I think he'd love having a daughter - having a little girl to cuddle up on his lap would absolutely melt him (although I've got no doubt that she will twist him around her little finger :rotfl:)0 -
Morning everyone
How are you all?
I had such a busy day yesterday, rushing around central London with my boss that walks a hundre miles a minute. I kept thinking I am walking too fast/carrying too much, being on my feet too long etc...but then I thought of all the pregnant people that do that kind of thing every single day and they are fine!
I got my blood test results back, they were:
11dpo - 24 hcg
17 dpo - 830 hcg
So that all seems normal which is good.
I just wish I FELT something different. I honestly just feel normal and I hate it, it's making me worry so much
This week has gone pretty fast though. I have my doctors appointment next Thurs...just got to wait it all out I guess.
Hope you are all ok?
For the ladies that are a bit further along...did you feel much at all in weeks 4-5?
x0 -
I'd been feeling nauseous from about week 4 T-Sil, but everyone is different. I've actually been sick again this morning (I'm 6 + 4 using the new dates) and this was the third time I've actually been sick. I had quite a stressful day yesterday (looking for care homes for my Nana in the morning and then travelling 26 miles to work in a hurry as I was late because of this - 52 miles in total). I've noticed that the days I've been sick so far have been the mornings after a stressful day the day before, so I'm going to try as much as possible to not get too stressed (half term next week, so this should help). Actually in some ways, although it's unpleasant being sick, I think it's better than just feeling sick all day, as usually I start to feel a bit better afterwards. Pleased to hear your blood test results were good though.
Re the sex of the baby debate, I would be just as thrilled to have a boy, but would prefer to have a girl.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170 -

No. Not at all. My b00bs were sore in the run up to when AF was due, but that was pretty much it. In weeks 5-6 I started getting thirstier and peeing more, and at 7+1 the nausea and tiredness hit. I was only sick once, and once I got to about 10+1 the nausea had pretty much eased off (although I've had a bit this morning and on Weds), but I'm still exhausted - it gets to about 9pm and I literally can't keep my eyes open any more.
The thing is, there are people who have no symptoms whatsoever and they're fine. And there are people who have loads of symptoms and it doesn't work out. Unfortunately, there's no rhyme or reason to it and you can't tell what's going to happen. Your blood results are really positive and look like they're doing what they should, and if you want more reassurance you can go for an early scan in a couple of weeks.
It's impossible to lose that little back of the mind voice which says 'but... what if?', because each scan, each blood test only shows that it's ok at that point. But there are two things that I find very reassuring to think about:
Firstly, the odds are in your favour. Depending on your circumstances, you have between a 75% and 85% chance of everything being fine. Once you've had a scan and seen a heartbeat, that goes up to around a 95% probability it will be fine.
Secondly, if you're going to lose it, there's very little you can do to make it stick. And if everything's fine, there's very little you can do to dislodge it.
Of course, I am still extremely stressed about our 12wk scan next week.0 -

I think you're right - I've been struggling through the mornings feeling grim until about 11.30, then feeling ill again after eating lunch, but the day that I was sick I felt a bit shaky for 20 minutes or so afterwards but was fine once that had passed.
I have a friend who, when she had morning sickness, used to actually go and stare at the loo until she threw up then shovel down some porridge with fruit in the half hour where she was feeling better and it'd make her feel normal enough to get on with the rest of the day.0 -
Sa-ra-ra-ra Shall we race? lol
Just watched OBEM and I was bawling my eyes out by the end of it. But my word that baby was a whopper at 10.5 pounds.

 Glad things are going well Sa-ra-ra. I was wondering how you were. Good luck for next week.
T-sil I know it's hard but try not to worry too much. Very few people get symptoms before 6/7 weeks and as others have said some don't get any.
Your blood results are positive so try to focus on that. I've not had as much nausea or weepiness as I did last time but then it didn't work out then so it's difficult to compare. As others have said, symptoms or lack of are not really good to use as an indication of how things are progressing as every woman and every pregnancy is different.
I'm mostly just tired. Nausea seems to be coming and going, some days I feel really sick and others I don't get any. It is worrying especially when you have been through a loss before but I just try to push it to the back of my mind. As my DH says to me often, we'll worry when we know there is something to worry about
