ok so 11 + 6 today - tell the parents day tomorrow, i call it D-day, OH calls it judgement day lol i really hope we get positive reactions to the news
me and OH spent 2 hours in kiddicare today, its massive with 3 floors, brought a grow bag which was on offer and a bouncer. they have a whole floor of prams/pushchairs god only knows how we will decide what to get, there is just so much choice and i dont want to spend too much but want something decent. going to get some bigger items after the 2nd scan.
main preg symptoms for me are stretching/soreness in my belly and tiredness. i am normally a really energetic person but i am sleeping longer at night and sometimes napping in the day.
hope everyone is having a good weekend,

Ok really embarrassing but since having my first my bladder has been a bit weak. No trampolining for me. I have been finding that when I'm being sick I'm losing control of my bladder. Anyone else have this problem?love you lots like jelly tots0

Morning all,
Got my first early scan tomorrow, I'm a bit nervous.I'm not sure if it's too early to see a heartbeat as going my my LMP I will be 6+4 but I know I ov'd on CD18 not 14 which puts me at 6 weeks exactly at the most. I guess we just have to wait and see.
I've managed to knit my first ever bootie. Just need to knit a second one the same size nowIt's a bit small around the opening- I think my casting off was a bit tight- but for a first go I think its ok.
I hope you are all having nice relaxing Sundays

Emsbet, that bootie is amazing, do you have a pattern? Now I'm pregnant I really want to get back into knitting to relax and obvioulsy make things
I thought it would be your scan soon. I'm sad to say I get so confused with all this information that I don't know if there is supposed to be a heart beat by your point, maybe 7 weeks? Lots of websites give different things but I hope you get a good consultant to placate any concerns and understand your situation. When will the next scan be?
Good luck today jedi, hope you get the response that pleases you! xx

Yes you should see a heart beat and that is what they will be looking for. They don't tend to scan before 6 weeks as the heart starts to beat during week 5 nearer the end of it. I saw a very clear heartbeat when I had a scan at 7 weeks.0

Last time I was 6+3 I think and we saw a heartbeat. I think the next one after that will be 9 weeks, but maybe they will bring it forward if it's a bit early to see the heartbeat tomorrow.
I will post the pattern later, I'm just testing out my new dyson first. Oh dear I'm a right saddo

Ok I've finished playing
Here's the pattern, it's from my beginners knitting book so I'm not sure whether or not it's in proper "knitting speak" but I'll type what's in my book
Cast on 38sts
Knit 12 rows
Row 13: k16, !k2tog, !k2, k2tog, k16
Count 36 stitches
Row 14: k15, k2tog, k2, k2 tog, k15
Count 34 stitches
Row 15: k14, k2tog, k2, k2tog, k14
Count 32 stitches
Row 16: k13, k2tog, k2, k2tog, !k13
Count 30 stitches
Row 17: k12, k2tog, k2, k2tog, k12
Count 28 stitches
Row 18: k11, k2tog, k2, k2tog, k11
Count 26 stitches
Row 19: k10, k2tog, k2, k2tog, k10
Count 24 stitches
Rows 20-27 knit these next 8rows
Cast off loosely leaving a long end for sewing up (about 50cm)
To finish, fold in half and sew up.. Sew from top of bootie to heel using garter stitch. Turn inside out sew up bottoms of bootie using backstich.
Hope that makes sense. Like I said its from my beginners book so it's really easy to follow. The bootie is the first thing I've made (apart from some practice knitting).
