Sexymouse- try not to worry about your blood tests (I know easier said than done), have you thought about asking them if you can take lower dose folic acid plus pg vits? Would that still be too much? Only reason is (and could be conicidence), since I switched from just FA to multi-vits I feel tonnes better and not as sick or tired.
it says here that you can't have too much folic acid as it's a vitamin that doesn't accumulate in your body. Your body will just expel the excess. Of course if your doctor has told you different sexymouse then I'd listen to them rather than me and my google search

Thanks ladies - I was only prescribed the folic acid yesterday so haven't actually taken it yet - I know it's naughty, but thought I would use up the last few days of my conception support vitamins first, as I know that they have the normal dose of FA in them anyway, and will switch to the separate vitamins after this. I'm going to hopefully go down to see my Nana today, as she's the only family member on my side that I've not told. She has Alzheimer's so I want to tell her soon so that she's got something to look forward to, and whilst she's still fairly lucid.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

Hello Ladies,
I've not popped in for ages, thanks to things being manic at work and DD needed various things organised. But I'm hoping things have calmed down now as I realy need a rest lol.
I finally have a booking in appointment but not till Febuary as my midwife is super busy at the moment and "its only your second". My scan is on the 31st jan, it took so long to come through because they lost my information in the system the first time. It's been put down as a nucal scan which I didnt want to have. The plan is to turn up and play dum, and refuse the blood test point blank. The letter also asks me to bring the notes I don't have or I may have to rearrange my appointment!!!
Lol how on earth are these people supposed to deliver my baby when the time comes if they cannot look after a sheet of paper with my details on?
I'm feeling really cheesed off with it all.

Is anyone else having trouble sleeping? I am having really strange dreams, waking up really hot, having strange crampy stretchy feelings in my lower tummy, and was up at 4am today. Have had a 45-minute nap this evening, and I'm going to try and get an early night tonight. I'm hoping I sleep better.
One of my first symptoms was really vivid dreams. I don't remember my dreams normally so it was really odd. At the moment I can't sleep because I can't get myself comfy. I've always slept on my front but my (rather ample) bosoms are sooooo sore at the moment it's really painful. I know I'll need to get used to sleeping on my side anyway but it just doesn't feel comfy.0 -
Ah Rups, just read your thread on the other board, I hope you don't mind. They're right, we don't really know what to say as it is everyone's worst fear but I hope your family and everyone here continues to support you.
Teaching dance today and a downs syndrome girl gave me a lovely hug but cus of your height and very tight squeezing around my stomach, I had to tell everyone I would be sick... oops!
sexymouse, your post is totally in context. I found it really hard to go from dreaming about trying for a baby to growing one and it is hard work. I've only just stopped being sick and its quite nice seeing your post to realise I've (hopefully gone forward) as I had stretchy pains so bad on my right side in week 4 or 5 I was sure I was ectopic or something... Still a fear but you girls are all so supportive, I'm grateful this thread gets going.
hope the parvovirus goes okay! I didn't even know anything about slapped cheek?! I was just thinking it must have been great to get a full days work on your BFP day to distract you but then remembered I got mine and went to work and had to keep running to the loo!!
I'm about half a week behind rj and like emsbet, would rather not count (I keep getting surprised by an app I installed which tells me how many wks!) xx

Hi ladies, I'm approximately 5+6 today and OMG the sickness has kicked in. I've not been sick but man do I feel rough. Everytime I start to feel better my stupid cough flares up and that makes me feel sick again. Grrr. Hopefully the steroids will kick in soon so I don't have to feel this bad - I could cope with one issue or the other...not both.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

mishkanorman - How have you managed to keep quite, had to tell my OH as soon as I was late and the excitement grew until we did the test.
Laura - what a fab way to tell the parents, we have not mentioned the pregnancy to anyone but want to tell just our parents once we have had the 12 week scan..... now wondering if i should be more inventive that just telling them!
my OH found the idea on the internet. we would have liked to show the scan picture but not getting scan till i am 13+ 1:jMarried 16/07/2010, ds1 born 11/08/12, baby due 08/05/20150
