  • Thank you so much for your replies everyone - and congratulations to you all! I'm going to phone the docs again when it opens at 2pm, and although I know there are no appts left today, I'll ask if I should just be referred straight to a midwife, or what their procedure normally is. Thanks again. x

Emski, like Kira said they won't test again, and they probably won't refer you straight to midwife, you will probably have to go through doctor, then he/she will refer you to the midwife for booking in, which could be any time from 6 weeks to 10 weeks. Hope that helps, the first few weeks are the worst as nothing seems to be happening :( but it'l get better and fly in soon enough.

My mother in law is a pain in the arseeeeeeeeeee. I swear she only rang to lecture me!! You have loads of time to spend on house - clean and tidy out drawers - go to pregnancy yoga - dont buy dvds its nicer to get out house and meet other pregnant ladies.

Grrr how about you get out house and jump off the nearest cliff.

    Sorry rant over.

I spoke to the midwives today. They hadn't got all my details through yet though so are calling me in the next day or two to get my booking in appt sorted. They come to our house for that! In our area they do it between 7-8 weeks. It's funny how areas can vary.

Have had barely any symptoms again today which makes me think I am imagining it!

But then I remember I'm not yet 6 weeks so I should be grateful symptoms aren't starting too early.

I am only 4+2 I think....but today my boobs have felt like they might explode they are so tender. I nearly passed out period 2 through hunger...I had to explain to the kids you aren't allowed to eat in a science lab, but I can because I know how to be safe!! Erm...not sure they bought it! Ha ha.

Also one of the kids asked me if I was pregnant....I am rather bloated. In fact, because I'm so slim normally....I look bloody huge! I hope it calms down a bit or I'm going to struggle to hide it. I'm also SOOOOOOOOOO tired. Very very tired. I've got my fingers crossed this is a good sign.

  • Hullo Everyone,
I threw up this morning in a really spectacular fashion in the shower, it was really gross :( I didnt have any warning or anything :(:( My OH is really sensitive about people being sick as well so he threw up to, cause he heard me throw up, so it wasnt a good start.
Otherwise I am tired but pretty human today. Took DD to playzone this evening with my friend and her two kiddies. I may have been a bit stupid and took them on the big slide a few times, cause I now have a really sore stretched muscle along the side of my tummy. It's sore but not unbearable so I'm not really worried, just feel a bit silly. lol
