So I guess I should say hi :o

I got my BFP yesterday, digi this morning confirmed pregnant 2-3. My EDD according to FF is 16th september. This is my 3rd pregnancy, the previous two sadly ended in miscarriage. The first was at six weeks in June 11 and the second was a mmc at 13 weeks in October 11. I'm keeping everything crossed this will be our forever baby.
Because I've had the two consecutive mc's I was told last time that I will get scans at 6, 9 and 12 weeks and will also be under consultant care.

Anyway, I'm not sure how much I will post because we are trying not to get too excited and obsessed by what's happening but I will be lurking so wanted just to say hi :)

    xx

    Morning,

I'm only just coming up to 5 weeks (tomorrow I think) but I have had loads of symptoms from really early on. Mainly horrendous backache - please someone tell me this isn't going to last for the next 9 months! I've been feeling really sicky and horrible on and off too. I thought those symptoms didn't start until after 6 weeks? I haven't actually been sick yet but I'm dreading it happening when I'm at work or out and about.

We also can't decide when to tell our family our news. I know it's sensible to wait until 12 weeks but I don't know if I can keep from my mom who I see every day for that long. DH wants to tell all of the family straight away but I'm not sure. I'm still getting used to the idea myself! It's really weird but although this pregnancy was planned, it happened a bit quicker than I was expecting and I've suddenly got scared and started worrying. I've really got no idea what to do with a baby and what if I'm no good at being a mommy? I think it must just be a stage I'm going through. Has anyone else shared their news yet?

Sorry for waffling on but it's good to have somewhere to let it out. Have a good day everyone.

Hi Emsbet:wave: It's nice to see you on here. I was so chuffed to see your news on the TTC board yesterday I had tears in my eyes! I was thinking about you all day in fact. I really hope this will be your forever baby and as my EDD is only two days before yours it will be nice to be going through the different stages together. I know I shouldn't get too excited either really but I'm trying to just think positive.

Elelyn some people's symptoms start really early, some start later and some people don't really get any symptoms at all. Just because you have nausea now doesn't mean that you will be one of those who is actually sick. I've started getting nausea since 12 DPO this time but last time I didn't get any until after six weeks.

Deciding when to tell people is a very individual thing. Some people like to tell everyone early on and others like to wait. We told a handful of people before the dating scan last time then the rest after. Unfortunately we had to then break the bad news to everyone after but we found this to actually be a good thing because we got so much support from everyone and it really helped us through.

It is scary when you first find out your are pg, planned or not. But try not to overthink things and take it as it comes otherwise you will just add unnecessary stress.

    xx

Thanks. Positive thinking is good and you should be excited, it's a happy time for you :) I hope it goes well for us both too as it will be nice to have a date buddy.

So much for me not posting much, I've already posted four times this morning :o

Thanks emsbet. I will stop stressing. I am really happy and I'm sure DH and I will be great parents - we wouldn't have been trying if I thought otherwise - I just think I was having a bit of a moment.

This is one of the reasons I think we will probably tell the family - so that if the worst were to happen we would have some support. Hopefully everything will be fine though.
