Rups. Good luck honey. Just offered up a little prayer for you. x Did they see a heartbeat? Although if it's measuring 5 weeks it's a bit early for that. I had a vaginal one too. The thing with a condom on the end lol.

thank you so so much everyone.. just had a really weird evening. was drained after the hospital so we missed kung fu and went home and spent the evening watching a film with hubby.

i couldnt help but thinkabout it all night and even in the morning.. i mean could they get the number of weeks wrong? it was so weird seeing the little bubs in me...i saw the way hubby was smiling too.. i am trying to be positive, but it is SOOO hard!

yeah that vaginal probe was so weird, and when she said it will have a condom on it, i thought what? i was so scared of it but it was ok. they also did a cervix check for me (like the smear) and i hated that. its so painful!

i hope i can get on with work today. maybe my minds playing tricks on me, but my boobs are less sore.

ps. rebekah, there was no heartbeat as too early. on the 17th is my other scan where they can see if it has grown at all... i am praying!!

if you mean my last period then def yes.. i had it on the 9/11. i dont see how i can be preg right from that excat date though as i am sure we prob 'concieved' more towards the middle of nov or more towards the end. i know this as mu DH is an old man now (being 31) and i always have to beg him for it, as hes always tired. lol. so could it be that difference? when i actually saw the GP, based on the date we conceived (in my head) i thought i was 2 weeks but the GP said nearly 5! so i was shocked!

Rups, you got your positive on 12 December, so the earliest you could be now is 6-7 weeks, as you couldn't get a positive test realistically any earlier than 3 weeks (or about one week after ovulation).

I agree with Nicki. I know how they date pregnancy does seem weird but they will generally work on the first day of your last period.

yes i got my positive on the sunday the 11th dec and went to see GP on the 14th. i really hope that is the case.. well if i am 6 weeks then the gp said 5 weeks.. hate the waiting game, but has to be done.. got to get on with stuff positively for 11 days. . i find it weird calculating from last period esp as u dont ovulate straightaway. so realistically when is one ovulating after their period ends?

Are your cycles usually very regular?
I think most people ovulate around the middle of the cycle. I know I do and so on a 28 day cycle you would ovulate around day 14. If your last period was 9th nov you would expect to be ovulating around the 23rd November. However, for dating purposes they would still class your pregnancy as starting from the 9th. I hope that makes some sense.
As you got your positive on the 11th this would mean you would be approx 4 weeks pregnant at this time although your positive could have come a few days earlier, so maybe about 3 and a bit weeks. With the dates, you would probably be about 7 weeks at least by this stage.

hmmm doesnt add up to what she said then... :0( i agree about the ovulating at about the 23rd, as i am on a 28 day cycle. i really hope it works out.. otherwise what can i do but start again? xx
