Hi all, well first day back at work complete after 2 weeks off..... Had to drag myself out of bed when the alarm went off at 6am but once in work was ok. Completed my absence request for my first appointment with midwife with vague reason of medical appointment ... hopefully no questions will be asked.
On the bra front I had to buy a bigger one at 5 weeks and have just ordered some more (in bigger cup sizes) in the sale from La Senza (forward planning!)................ not sure if La Senza do a maternity range and according to the news they could be going into administation ...... argh!!! Its the only place i've ever managed to find a decent fitting bra!
So far managed to resist buying anything for baby not that it has stopped me looking but as no one yet knows and we should hopefully be moving house at the end of the month with families help didnt want to risk people finding out before scan etcMarried my wonderful husband 29th May 20110 -
La Senza don't do maternity sadly
and they advise bras without underwires in pregnancy, as the wires can affect your milk ducts. Unless you're planning on bottle feeding then I wouldn't worry too much. x

My new addiction is now fried egg sandwiches, I had two for my dinner and it was pure luxury! No sickness or heartburn or bloating. This could be my new wonder food!!!
My DD is being an absolute pain this evening though as my brother has come over to help hubby fix the car and she is completely out of routine now. I might hide in the bed and catch up on 4OD, and leave OH to deal with it cause I havent napped today and I am so cranky I am just not going to help the situation.
Can't remember who asked about the housework, but I haven't done much since we found out. OH is being a trooper in keeping everything ticking over, and once im over the first trimester I will be able to give everything a really good organise. I've planned a whole new bedroom set for DD and new baby, earmarked the furniture I want and know exactly where I want everything to go, so I will be busy once I get my groove back

Still reading here sometimes, the awfulness of 1st trimester already feels like a distant memory so for those feeling sick, tired and just generally like you've been hit by a bus, it really does pass.
I just wanted to post about maternity bras - in my experience Mothercare are by far and away the best. I started at M&S but they only actually did 2 in store (a REALLY large store not a little local one) and one of those was underwired (to be avoided during pregnancy according to my midwife and the NCT lady, although some online reports are mixed) - apparently most of their range is online only. It was also £28 for 2 bras. I felt like I had no choice, and the fit was quite poor. So I went to Mothercare (via Mamas & Papas who had none despite a decent online range) and they were fantastic (the lady did put it well when she said 'we only deal with pregnant boobs love, we know the support they need and how they're changing') plus it was only £12.50 for a pack of two (which I outgrew within 2 weeks, I'm now on my 3rd size at 16 weeks). M&S tried to tell me to buy a huge bra (so unsupportive I may as well not have had it) with the rationale I would grow into it - you can't predict how you're going to grow during pregnancy - most women go up band sizes as the bump grows, but so far I've stayed at a 34 but gone from a C to an E, so accept you're going to be back there several times, and resist the temptation to stock up, or pay extra for a nursing maternity bra because it's very unlikely to still fit you in 2 months time let alone 6 or 7. Hope that helps xDebt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Haha, after thinking to myself that I wasn't too tired yesterday despite extreme pregnancy insomnia and first day back at work, I got home last night, sat on the sofa... and fell asleep for 2 hours!
RebekahR, I don't really do housework... but this is definitely another excuse not to! I'm generally dreading taking the Christmas tree down at the moment, and we've just had DSS to stay so the front room is full of Skylanders. I was going to tidy last night but instead I slept on the sofa then DH made me some dinner
I actually meant Princess Royal University Hospital in Farnborough, rather than Princess Royal in Haywards Heath (WHY would they have two hospitals with such similar names so close to each other?! It's STUPID). But I've heard good things about Epsom and St Helier. Mainly I'm just avoiding Mayday.0 -
morning all. wow its been busy again.. ok will go to mothercare for bras then. i def need some as mine is cutting into me now.ouch. ;(
DH is still persistent on mayday as its nearer and me telling him what everyone is saying is making no effect at all. Even his mum says stick with that! grrr. i dont know what to do now as we are conflicting over that!
regarding housework, i am totally useless now. even cant manage to wash dishes. yest we walked back from the station and on the way we passed a chip shop and we both indulged in some chips. naughty. then we went home and i managed to have a long nap till 8. oops.. then i was hungry at 9.00 again so had some dinner at 10. DH is so sweet though and has been cooking but sometimes i can tell he is tired too and wants to chill out. :-( bless these men sometimes hey? :0)Became Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!
