Flutterby I think it depends on the area you live in, I got my scan date at the booking in appointment and it was 3 days later. Some areas they send it by post.

I'm not sure to be honest,I had both dates on same letter so I guess it depends on your area.

Strange enough,I'm not going to the hospital for booking in,but my gp surgery.

Im 7 weeks tomorrow and dont have my booking in apt for another 2 weeks, my scan will then be a good couple of weeks after that I would imagine by the time the forms get sent to hospital etc.


I've had a horrible nights sleep with cramps and back pain which have got slowly worse since I got up so im glad the weathers not great here we can have a lazy day at home !

Got some bump bands in the post from an eBay buy this morning, wont need them for a bit but they were a bargain :money:

Morning Mishka - I had to go into my sure start centre to make booking in appt. Had my doctors appointment tuesday and first midwife one Monday.

What are bump bands? Hope your cramps go soon. I haven't got anything to say I am pregnant lol. Not sure if it is a god or bad sign.

The are bits of clothing to bridge the gap between tops/bottoms when your belly gets bigger

I havent seen anyone 'medical' yet so do sometimes wonder if i made it all up, the odd bout of MS and stretching/cramps pops back every once in a while to remind me though !

Good mornign ladies! 11 weeks today for me got my scan next Wednesday. I had my booking in app and scan date both come through within a week of me going to my Dr to tell them i was pregnant. I have since foundout that in Shrewsbury you can do a self referal, where you can phone the midwife yourself once you know you are pregnant! Had my booking in last Sunday, which i had to go to the hospital for. When i had my 3 DDs in Southampton, all of the apps with the midwife are home visits! So much nicer!

I think there is a self-referral system up here too but you can also go through your doctor.

I kinda wish I was still in Shrewsbury as the RSH is much nicer looking than my local hospital!
