Apparently if you wee on baking powder and it fizzes,it's a boy(wee is more acidic apparently),and if it doesn't,it's a girl.

Hi All

Ive got some baking powder, I'll try it later!!! How much did you use?

Midwife has been today, gave me a ton of leaflets and books, very confusing!!! Has anyone even tried to work out what they would be entitled to money wise?! Its a mind boggler!

She said they wont scan me until 13 weeks and also that my BP is very low which is why I am dizzy but there is nothing they can do for that

I've booked an appointment with the doctor for Monday to get myself referred to the midwife but I'm only five weeks today so I've got a bit of a wait before anything else will happen.

I've had some nauesea on and off today but it doesn't last too long.

Mishka are you feeling any better now? Did you find anything that made you feel better?

emsbet she said it was something to do with the tests that they do for downs syndrome....I will need to look through all the notes etc to find out the exact reason. She made out it was a common thing around my area as she said 'they dont scan you nowadays until about 13 weeks'

Ill go and have a read lol.

Oh I see. Thinking about my friend who just had hers was 13 weeks so maybe that is the case in some areas.

Thanks. That's good to know, hopefully I'll be as lucky. Although I'm not sure my doctor is quite with it as when I went for my early scan when I had my mc she phoned to book me the appointment but didn't send anything in writing so they didn't have any notes about why I was there etc and we had to wait a while for them to fax something over before I could be scanned!
