Hi everyone. Feeling a little better, still struggle with breathing at times but hopefully will be back to normal this week.

Doing the evening meal is difficult because my sickness kicks in anytime between 5/9 pm so I never am sure whether to eat before or after.

Re food, since yesterday i've been fancying mashed potatoes, mashed swede, gravy and maybe chicken sausages( really gone off red meat). Going to do the online shop later to that will be interesting:rotfl:

Mozzy - Have a fab scan tomorrow. I was really nervous for mine too, so know how you're feeling. I didn't sleep very well the day before, so try to knacker yourself out today :rotfl:

What's everyone eating this week? I'm struggling to work out dinners that I actually want to eat ........

I done a mountain of batch cooking at the weekend so forcing myself to get through that, beef pies, chicken casserole, chicken curry, veggie soup and home made chicken goujons for wraps with salad and mayo, yum.
The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.

I'm eating toast and ready brek and that's it really! This week my MS has stopped (thank god!) but at about 5.00pm until bedtime I have that horrible sicky feeling so tea's are a nightmare for me at the moment. I'm struggling with drinking as well, don't want hot drinks or fizzy drinks, fed up of apple juice, just don't know what I fancy!

I can't wait to start eating normally again and enjoying tea's with my hubby! Bless him, last night he said he can't wait for me to start drinking tea again as every night after out tea we use to sit on the sofa with a cup of tea each and the biscuit jar and dunk our biscuits! He hasn't been doing it for the past few months because he said he feels guilty that I can't join in! :)

I do have a sneaky confession to make though, on the way home from swimming this lunch time I stopped at McDonald's Drive Thru and bought a large McChicken Sandwich Meal with diet coke! The salty fries were delicious! This is quite bad for as I'm normally a health freak, but nevermind, pregnancy is a great excuse to eat whatever you fancy!!

Can I ask you ladies who have had babies before to tell me what your bodies are honestly like after giving birth? This is my worry of the day! Yesterday I worried about giving birth and the pain, but I managed to convince myself that I will manage and its only a day in my life! Plus the end result is something me and my hubby really want so badly! Honestly every day I start worrying about something new, if I'm not worrying about the baby, I'm worrying about my relationship with my hubby, then I worry about money. I'm just a big fat worrier!! :D

Mozzyc - good luck with the scan tomorrow!

Janninew - after having read 'what to expect when you're expecting' I think I ended up more worried than if I hadn't known! I have to say that all the pain and possible bruises and everything seemed fairly horrible, but hopefully someone who's already been there will be able to say it's not all that bad :) My husband pointed out that if it was really that awful, there would be a lot more only children....

I'm 12+3 now but I'm hanging around on this board until my scan too - though I'm still waiting for a date for it :(
  • Ooh - good luck for the scan Mozzy! Feel like ours will never come - I'm 7+5 today but we're going away for a month on Friday so no midwife appointment untill we get back on the 19th - so scan will be after that (not sure how long it takes for the date to come through??)

I feel so bad for those of you who've really suffered with ms - I've been feeling sicky for a few weeks but have only actually thrown up 4 or 5 times so I'm very lucky. Anyone else feeling very bloated so early in?? My jeans are already tight (I'm a 14/16 so a bit of a chubby anyway!) and I'm now just washing and wearing one pair - I'm struggling to think about what on earth I'm going to wear on hols (just staying in England thankfully!) Also tried to buy a maternity bra today - usually get bras in Debenhams (I'm a 36gg normally) but they only go up to G instore - argh, popping out of all my bras!

Telling the folks this week (before we go away as we'll prob have to tell friends we're holidaying with - not drinking will give it away methinks) - I know my Mum will be ridiculously excited - lol ;)

    Hope everyone's feeling ok

    NG xx

Yes I've read 'the what to expect book' too, my problem is I'm always reading or googling on the internet, it really doesn't do me any good at all!! My Mum says all women say they are only having 1 baby, then go on to have a few more, so I guess it isn't all bad!

Good luck getting your scan, mine is on Monday - super excited, but dreading the full bladder, I feel super uncomfortable when I need to wee, I just hope they aren't running behind!!

I'm dreading that part of the scan too. I get really sickly if I drink too much water at the moment too. My scan is at 9.25 am so hopefully not too much chance of them running far behind. Will have to get up at stupid o'clock tho so I can get enough water down in time lol:eek:

Sounds just like me! My scan is 9.10am, the second of the day. I'm hoping this means they will be running on time! At my last scan I drank very dilute vimto and everything was ok, when she asked me to put my legs flat on the bed I actually thought I was going to wee myself! I'm also worried that they won't be able to see much as at my last scan I apparently had lots of gas (lovely!) in my stomach and she had to press really hard, was soooo uncomfortable!
